ESP32 is a single 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi-and-Bluetooth SoC (System On a Chip) designed by Espressif Systems. ESP32 is designed for mobile, wearable electronics, and Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications. It features all the state-of-the-art characteristics of low-power chips, including fine-grained clock gating, multiple power modes,and dynamic power scaling. For instance, in a low-power IoT sensor hub application scenario, ESP32 is woken-up periodically and only when a specified condition is detected. The low-duty cycle is used to minimize the amount of energy that the chip expends. The output of the power amplifier is also adjustable, thus contributing to an optimal trade-off between communication range, data rate and power consumption. Homebridge
HomeKit support for the impatient
Homebridge is a lightweight NodeJS server you can run on your home network that emulates the iOS HomeKit API. It supports Plugins, which are community-contributed modules that provide a basic bridge from HomeKit to various 3rd-party APIs provided by manufacturers of "smart home" devices. Since Siri supports devices added through HomeKit, this means that with Homebridge you can ask Siri to control devices that don't have any support for HomeKit at all. Once your device has been added to HomeKit, you should be able to tell Siri to control your devices. However, realize that Siri is a cloud service, and iOS may need some time to synchronize your device information with iCloud. One final thing to remember is that Siri will almost always prefer its default phrase handling over HomeKit devices. For instance, if you name your Sonos device "Radio" and try saying "Siri, turn on the Radio" then Siri will probably start playing an iTunes Radio station on your phone. -

This project provides a free Raspbian-based Raspberry Pi image with Homebridge and Homebridge Config UI X pre-installed. This image also provides a command called hb-config which helps you keep Node.js up-to-date, perform maintenance on your Homebridge server, and install additional optional software such as Pi Hole and deCONZ. The Homebridge service is installed using the method described in the Raspberry Pi Installation Guide on the Homebridge project wiki. The easiest way to flash the Homebridge Raspberry Pi Image to your SD card is to use the Raspberry Pi Imager. Raspberry Pi Imager will now download and flash the latest version of the Homebridge Raspberry Pi Image to your SD card, this may take several minutes depending on the speed of your internet connection and SD card. The Homebridge UI web interface will allow you to install, remove and update plugins, and modify the Homebridge config.json and manage other aspects of your Homebridge service. -

Upload, save and run keystroke injections remotely with an ESP8266 + ATmega32u4. Using a USB device that act as a keyboard to inject keystrokes is well known these days. The USB Rubber Ducky by Hak5 is THE hacker gadget for this kind of attack. It introduced a simple script language called Ducky Script, which this project uses too. The ESP8266 is a popular Wi-Fi chip used in a lot of projects. Because it's cheap, small, and has its own file system (SPIFFS), it's perfect for enabling an easy remote connection and holding Ducky Script payloads. Although the ESP8266 is awesome, it doesn't have a native USB, which means it can't act as a keyboard. The ESP will open up a Wi-Fi access point and host a web interface from which you can upload and manage your scripts. When you hit run, it will send the script to the ATmega, which then will execute it on the target machine. -

ARP Scout is a program that will run a script once when a device on your network comes online. Once it comes online it will keep tabs on the device and after a certain time out period it will run the script with the stop argument. ARP Scout monitors either the Linux Proc file system for changes in the the ARP cache or will use PCAP to watch for new MAC and IP address combinations. See the README file for more details. The AWS-IoT-Arduino-Yún-SDK allows developers to connect their Arduino Yún compatible Board to AWS IoT. By connecting the device to the AWS IoT, users can securely work with the message broker, rules and the Thing Shadow provided by AWS IoT and with other AWS services like AWS Lambda, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon S3, etc. The AWS-IoT-Arduino-Yún-SDK consists of two parts, which take use of the resources of the two chips on Arduino Yún, one for native Arduino IDE API access and the other for functionality and connections to the AWS IoT built on top of AWS IoT Device SDK for Python. The AWS-IoT-Arduino-Yún-SDK provides APIs to let users publish messages to AWS IoT and subscribe to MQTT topics to receive messages transmitted by other devices or coming from the broker. This allows to interact with the standard MQTT PubSub functionality of AWS IoT. -

Accent is essentially software. As most of Accent in in Java, it needs at least a Java Runtime Environment but more likely a Java Software Development Kit. To interact with the real world, Accent needs relevant hardware such as a communications server (softswitch) or home automation equipment. -

AIC (Advanced Irrigation Controller) is a computer based control system that has been initially targeted towards controlling irrigation in small to medium size gardens. As the product matures and features are added it is expected to be a fully functional controller used in large scale implementations, green houses and glass houses. AIC platform's in-dependency means it can run on both Linux or Windows XP onwards . A large range of serial boards (as well as usb boards that present as serial devices) are able to be controlled. KMTronic's USB and Serial relay boards are selectable in the configuration menu, other boards can be setup by entering their control commands. Although primarily designed for irrigation you can use AIC to control a large variety of hardware, for example lighting, heating etc It is envisaged that future implementations of AIC will incorporate rules for more complex device control.
