It allows you to process Jpg/Png images in a folder , and then save the individual panels in a folder or in a single pdf file. Unfortunately it is far from perfect and makes many mistakes especially with "black and white" comics. -

cbrTekStraktor is an application to automatically extract text from the text bubbles or speech balloons present in comic book reader files (CBR). Its prime goal is to perform analysis on the texts of comic books. cbrTekStraktor can however also be used for scanlation or similar purposes. The application also enables to manually define text areas in CBR files. The application comprises a simple graphical editor for further processing the extracted text. -

...Some of the code is left in an unfinished/testing state. This game was a learning experiment for me, and the math used is tested until it works for the game. After using the science math by the book, there were still flaws that could make the player get stuck under certain conditions (since floating point is not exact), and the workarounds for this are just my own ideas. Have looked at the code for other 3D games and there are mostly the same problems around collision detection and "hacks" to get it to "work". -

This project is the beginning of a big photo book conversion tool. Starting with ifolor (from switzerland) and output to scribus (which is a DTP application and can easily be used to create a pdf), I plan to also support other formats and support cross conversion, but for that I need YOUR INPUT (at least test files). Also other output formats are possible, but I didn't find a better format in the open source world than scribus yet. -
