  • The output is excellent and allows to process badly wrapped and distorted images. The interface requiers lot of click and trial and errors on each pages fix but still faster if you do it in Gimp. An excellent soft. If you need the best output quality even if it will consume more time than ScanWizard but it leaves more control on the image output size and format. There is no bitonal process, so use ST or imagemagic to produce the jpg or tif for Black and White PDF. I found this product the most adapted to updload for archive.org where they request de-warped, cropped color images. There is a weakness in the margin production, If you don't pay attention you may end with image margin of differents size. I hope to see content box detection so that it can help set the margin before crop.
  • An excellent program for use with camera based scanners. This program removed keystone effects and crops the pages so that you end up with a rectangular cropped page image. It will apply the keystone and cropping cirteria to all following pages. One nice feature is that if your book/camera position had changed slightly half way though a series of photographs, you can make adjustments to the following photos. In other words you can have several modifications to get he best image shape and size as you proceed through the book. I've made a YouTube video on how to use YASW. Just Google YASW Youtube
