EasyBMP is an easy cross-platform C++ library for reading and writing Windows bitmap BMP files. No installation, no need for external libraries, small size, well-documented, and simple enough for the novice programmer to start in just minutes!

The Simple Medical Imaging Library Interface (SMILI), pronounced 'smilie', is an open-source, light-weight and easy-to-use medical imaging viewer and library for all major operating systems. The main sMILX application features for viewing n-D images, vector images, DICOMs, anonymizing, shape analysis and models/surfaces with easy drag and drop functions. It also features a number of standard processing algorithms for smoothing, thresholding, masking etc. images and models, both with graphical user interfaces and/or via the command-line. The applications are all built out of a uniform user-interface framework that provides a very high level (Qt) interface to powerful image processing and scientific visualisation algorithms from the Insight Toolkit (ITK) and Visualisation Toolkit (VTK). The framework allows one to build stand-alone medical imaging applications quickly and easily.

The 'ImageJ Plugins' project is a source of custom plugins for the Image/J software. Image/J is a public domain image processing and analysis program developed in Java (http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/).

Scan Tailor is an interactive post-processing tool for scanned pages. It performs operations such as page splitting, deskewing, and removing garbage.

BDReader is intended to be a comfortable comics reader. As a main feature, BDReader includes an auto panels detection on comics pages. It allows you to display the panels (or squares) of a comic page individually, in the reading order. It also offers a Preview page option, allowing you to preview each page before reading into details the different panels of the page as well as a page thumbnails view. BDReader supports classic comic book formats: CBR, CBZ, PDF (...) as well as images archives and image folders. If you like reading comics on your computer and are fed up with zooming/dezooming all time to have the right reading size, give it a try ! GDS3D is a cross-platform 3D hardware accelerated viewer for chip layouts. Read standalone GDS files or use the Cadence plugin for easy integration with your Virtuoso environment. This project is not maintained anymore. A new maintainer has been updating it in https://github.com/qazmlpok/quivi, but I'm not involved with it. Quivi is a comic / manga reader but also an general purpose image viewer for Windows which supports many file formats and compressed (zip, rar) files. It is aimed for fast & easy file browsing with keyboard or mouse.
