    Amazon EC2 Metadata Mock

    Amazon EC2 Metadata Mock

A tool to simulate Amazon EC2 instance metadata

Instance metadata is data about your instance that you can use to configure or manage the running instance. Instance metadata is divided into categories, for example, hostname, events, and security groups. You can also use instance metadata to access user data that you specified when launching your instance. For example, you can specify parameters for configuring your instance, or include a simple script. You can build generic AMIs and use user data to modify the configuration files supplied at launch time. For example, if you run web servers for various small businesses, they can all use the same generic AMI and retrieve their content from the Amazon S3 bucket that you specify in the user data at launch. To add a new customer at any time, create a bucket for the customer, add their content, and launch your AMI with the unique bucket name provided to your code in the user data. If you launch more than one instance at the same time, the user data is available to all instances.

    Crunch

    Crunch

Insane(ly slow but wicked good) PNG image optimization

Crunch is an image compression tool for lossy PNG image file optimization. Using a combination of selective bit depth, color palette reduction and color type, as well as zopfli DEFLATE compression algorithm encoding that employs the pngquant and zopflipng PNG optimization tools, Crunch is effectively able to optimize and compress images with minimal decrease in image quality. While it may produce file size gains larger than those produced by lossless approaches, the impact on image quality is often imperceptible, and optimized file sizes are still significantly lower than the original.

    Dynamics.js

    Dynamics.js

Javascript library to create physics-based animation

Dynamics.js is a JavaScript library to create physics-based animations. You can animate CSS properties of any DOM element. You also can animate SVG properties. And any JavaScript object. Dynamics.js has its own setTimeout. The reason is that requestAnimationFrame and setTimeout have different behaviors. In most browsers, requestAnimationFrame will not run in a background tab while setTimeout will. This can cause a lot of problems while using setTimeout along your animations. I suggest you use Dynamics's setTimeout and clearTimeout to handle these scenarios. Toggle a debug mode to slow down every animations and timeouts. This is useful for development mode to tweak your animation. This can be activated using Shift-Control-D in the browser.

    Emoji-Log

    Emoji-Log

An Emoji Git commit log messages spec standard

After building hundreds of open source software I've ended up inventing a git commit log standard called EMOJI-LOG that helps me understand a project's history with a less cognitive load just by looking at the git log. I like emoji. I like ’em a lot. Programming, code, geeks/nerds, open-source, all of that is inherently dull and sometimes boring. Emoji (which is, in fact, the plural of emoji) helps me add colors and emotions to the mix. Nothing wrong if you want to attach feelings to this 2D flat text-based world of code. I found out that instead of memorizing hundreds of emoji it's better to keep the categories small and general.

    Pokémon Cards CSS

    Pokémon Cards CSS

Collection of advanced CSS styles to create realistic-looking effects

pokemon-cards-css is a CSS-driven styling framework that lets web developers render Pokémon card visuals purely in HTML and CSS. It defines layouts, frames, typography, and image placeholders to mimic the look of real Pokémon trading cards, enabling users to create “virtual cards” with custom content. Because the design is built into CSS, cards respond to responsive constraints and adjust nicely across devices. The project supports common card types (basic, stage, trainer, etc.), and includes classes to manage energy symbols, attack boxes, and flavor text. Many community users combine it with JavaScript to dynamically generate cards from data (e.g. Pokédex entries or user input). It offers a playful, educational example of what you can achieve with modern CSS, especially in combining design fidelity with flexible markup.

    React Three Fiber

    React Three Fiber

    A React renderer for Three.js

Build your scene declaratively with re-usable, self-contained components that react to state, are readily interactive, and can tap into React's ecosystem. There is no hard dependency on a particular three.js version, it does not wrap or duplicate a single three.js class. It merely expresses three.js in JSX, <mesh /> becomes new THREE.Mesh(), and that happens dynamically. There is no additional overhead. Components participate in a unified render loop outside of React. It outperforms three.js at scale due to React's scheduling abilities.Y ou need to be versed in both React and three.js before rushing into this. If you are unsure about React consult the official React docs, especially the section about hooks.

    VueGL

    VueGL

Vue.js components rendering 3D WebGL graphics reactively with three.js

VueGL is a component library for rendering 3D graphics with Vue.js and three.js. Using VueGL, you can handle WebGL very easily. In addition, drawn graphics are responsively re-rendered when detecting data changes. Vue.js is one of the very popular frameworks for building web apps or interactive websites. three.js is a 3D graphics library to uses WebGL. It provides classes wrapping WebGL APIs. They aim for different targets to be rendered, Vue.js for DOM and three.js for WebGL context. These APIs are completely different and that causes a mess when we want them to work together.
