The iris3D engine is a full application toolkit. it has 2d, 3d, ui and video sub-systems. This media player uses the ui and video systems to create a simple but effective media player. The video playback code is wrote both in C# and C++. The video subsystem(namespace Iris3D.Video) uses the latest version of FFMPEG, so it supports a wide range of formats, including audio and audio/video sync. -

The visualization framework contains a scene graph to manage 3D objects. Processing of input data is handled by operators. Operators have ports which can be connected, so that the evaluted data is passed from one to the next operator.
