Convert user-saved tracks from GPS-Tracks for iPhone to KML files for Google Earth. The GPS-Tracks iPhone application is available from the App Store or from http://www.gps-tracks.com . It can save recorded GPS tracks to the iPhone storage. This little Java applet provides the functionality to convert these saved tracks to KML files, for use with Google earth. Under Windows, it uses the synced files from the iTunes phone files backup, and extracts the tracks from there. Under Linux, it uses the virtual file system provided by libgpod (which provides an iPhone-gvfs-bridge) and gvfs-fuse (which offers gvfs virtual filesystems as Linux FUSE filesystems). Please note that this app is rather rudimentary. If you run into problems, please open a ticket to describe the issue; time permitting, I'll try to fix it. -

eviltransform is a compact library for converting geographic coordinates between the global WGS-84 system (used by GPS) and the Chinese GCJ-02 system (used by many Chinese map services such as Google Maps China and AutoNavi). The project implements forward and inverse transformations (WGS→GCJ and GCJ→WGS) as well as a higher-precision inverse method (GCJ→WGS exact) that trades speed for sub-meter accuracy, and it includes a utility for computing geodesic distance in meters. It’s implemented (or ported) across many languages and platforms — you’ll find reference implementations in Go, C/C++/Obj-C, Java, JavaScript, Python, PHP, C#, Haskell, Rust, Swift, MATLAB and more — which makes it easy to drop into server, client, or mobile codebases. The README documents the API signatures and describes expected numeric accuracy (e.g., ~1–2 m for the standard inverse, <0.5 m for the exact inverse) and when to use each routine. -

Fielddata Mgr Overview This is a Python program, which means that one must install the open source freely available Python interpreter and a few required also open source, freely available modules that support the functionality of the program. The program "Fielddata Mgr", is customized for the Rick survey department, in such that it supports up to 9 chiefs, each having their own folder in one location, 2 supervisers, each with a PC on the network, and access to a main server. Each day, the .RAW file is copied to the appropriate chiefs folder and when Fielddata Mgr is run, or the reload button is clicked, all .RAW files are listed along with a long list of all job folders existing in a designated location, and a short list of frequently accessed jobs that are selected from within the long list. When a .RAW file is selected, the contents are read, interpreted, and the results displayed within the program window. For remaining information please read the info sht.
