Gourmet has a plugin infrastructure allowing users to choose add-ins they want, such as a plugin to calculate nutritional information. Gourmet also includes an interactive python shell plugin which is a great way for new developers to get started playing around. Gourmet is now built on Python, SqlObject, and GTK tools. Among the plugins is an experimental web front-end which shows the way forward to other possible future front-ends. -
