Dulwich
Pure-Python Git implementation
Dulwich is a Python implementation of the Git file formats and protocols, which does not depend on Git itself. All functionality is available in pure Python. Optional C extensions can be built for improved performance. Dulwich takes its name from the area in London where the friendly Mr. and Mrs. Git once attended a cocktail party. Supported Python versions are Python 3.5 and later. Versions of Dulwich prior to 0.20 also supported Python 2.7. Supported platforms include Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. Dulwich comes with both a lower-level API and higher-level plumbing ("porcelain"). By default, Dulwich' setup.py will attempt to build and install the optional C extensions. The reason for this is that they significantly improve the performance since some low-level operations that are executed often are much slower in CPython. -

This document describes how developers may contribute pull requests to an upstream repository and how upstream owners may merge pull requests from contributors according to the very popular fork and pull request workflow followed in many projects on GitHub. The download buttons above download version 0.6.0 (the latest stable release) of this document. Every project has a main development branch where the developers push commits on a day-to-day basis. Usually, the main development branch is master but some projects choose to have develop or trunk or another branch for day-to-day development activities. We refer to this main development branch as the main development branch throughout this document to keep the text general. However in the command examples and ASCII-diagrams, we use master as an example of the main development branch. -

GRV is a terminal interface for viewing git repositories
GRV is a terminal-based interface for viewing Git repositories. It allows refs, commits and diffs to be viewed, searched and filtered. The behavior and style can be customized through configuration. A query language can be used to filter refs and commits, see the Documentation section for more information. Commits and refs can be filtered using a query language. Changes to the repository are captured by monitoring the filesystem allowing the UI to be updated automatically. Organized as tabs and splits. Custom tabs and splits can be created using any combination of views. Vi like keybindings by default, key bindings can be customized. Custom themes can be created. Mouse support. Commit Graph.grv is currently an alias used by oh-my-zsh. Add unalias grv to the end of your .zshrc to invoke GRV. -

Think of gg as a wrapper for the git commands that you run all the time; a wrapper that adds functionality and is aesthetically pleasing. There's more to the package than just shortcuts or aliases. For example, the gg s command presents you with an easy to look at a quick glance status of your repository. In addition, there are aesthetic changes that increase the intuitiveness of Git itself. The exercises are designed for use when we are teaching Git courses. You should be able to use them as self-contained exercises that will allow you to keep your Git skills sharp. Exercises starting with basic are entry-level - other exercises vary greatly in difficulty. If you are coming to this repository for some basic Git knowledge, we recommend going through the exercises in the following order. This is the order that Jan Krag at Praqma teaches Git and might change over time. There are more exercises than this, but these should take you through everything you need to be able to use Git effectively in your day to day life. -

GitHub Actions Version Updater is GitHub Action that is used to update other GitHub Actions in a Repository and create a pull request with the updates. It is an automated dependency updater similar to GitHub's Dependabot, but for GitHub Actions. GitHub Actions Version Updater first goes through all the workflows in a repository and checks for updates for each of the action used in those workflows. If an update is found and if that action is not ignored then the workflows are updated with the latest release of the action being used. If at least one workflow file is updated then a new branch is created with the changes and pushed to GitHub. Finally, a pull request is created with the newly created branch. GitHub does not allow updating workflow files inside a workflow run. -

Gitql binary uses the embed file version.txt to outputs the gitql version command. On every release, the file content is replaced by the correct tag or git commit sha. -

This plugin allows to specify versions of external libraries in a centralized place and use them across the project. It's specifically useful for Gradle multi-projects. This plugin also uses com.github.ben-manes.versions plugin to automatically update libraries once new releases are available. Run ./gradlew syncLibraries to create $rootDir/dependencies.json file with all currently known dependencies. Once dependencies.json file is in place by generating via syncLibraries task or just by manually creating it, all declared in dependencies.json libraries can be used in project files. It's not a secret that it's really hard to keep libraries up to date especially when there are dozens and sometimes hundreds of them. For that purpose, this plugin has update libraries task that will automatically check for available new versions of libraries. -

This prompt is a port of the "Informative git prompt for zsh". A bash prompt that displays information about the current git repository. In particular the branch name, difference with remote branch, number of files staged, changed, etc. The advantage of this approach is, that you only need to specify the parts, that are different to the Default theme. You can set the GIT_PROMPT_SHOW_UNTRACKED_FILES variable to no or normal to speed things up if you have lots of untracked files in your repository. This can be the case for build systems that put their build artifacts in the subdirectory structure of the git repository. Setting it to all will count all untracked files, including files listed in .gitignore. The most settings are now stored in theme files. To select a theme, set the variable GIT_PROMPT_THEME to the name of the theme located in <INSTALLDIR>/themes without the extension .bgptheme. -

Most of the GitHub APIs are covered, although there are some corners that are still not yet implemented. The library allows connecting to GitHub via several different authentication mechanisms. This library defines a common convention so that applications using this library will look at a consistent location. In this convention, the library looks at ~/.github property file. The content of the files depends on the way you want this library to authenticate as shown. -
