Checkout v7 is the official GitHub Action for checking out repository code inside a GitHub Actions workflow. It places the selected repository under the workflow workspace so build, test, lint, release, or deployment steps can access the files. By default, it fetches only one commit for the ref or SHA that triggered the workflow, but it can also fetch full branch and tag history. The action supports checking out different repositories, private repositories, pull request commits, submodules, Git LFS files, sparse paths, and custom paths. The conventional-changelog repo is managed as a monorepo; it's composed of many npm packages. It's recommended you use the high-level standard-version library, which is a drop-in replacement for npm's version command, handling automated version bumping, tagging, and CHANGELOG generation. Alternatively, if you'd like to move towards completely automating your release process as an output from CI/CD, consider using semantic-release. We specifically limit our support to LTS versions of Node, not because this package won't work on other versions, but because we have a limited amount of time, and supporting LTS offers the greatest return on that investment. It's possible this package will work correctly on newer versions of Node. It may even be possible to use this package on older versions of Node, though that's more unlikely as we'll make every effort to take advantage of features available in the oldest LTS version we support. -

This document describes how developers may contribute pull requests to an upstream repository and how upstream owners may merge pull requests from contributors according to the very popular fork and pull request workflow followed in many projects on GitHub. The download buttons above download version 0.6.0 (the latest stable release) of this document. Every project has a main development branch where the developers push commits on a day-to-day basis. Usually, the main development branch is master but some projects choose to have develop or trunk or another branch for day-to-day development activities. We refer to this main development branch as the main development branch throughout this document to keep the text general. However in the command examples and ASCII-diagrams, we use master as an example of the main development branch. -

GRV is a terminal-based interface for viewing Git repositories. It allows refs, commits and diffs to be viewed, searched and filtered. The behavior and style can be customized through configuration. Changes to the repository are captured by monitoring the filesystem allowing the UI to be updated automatically. Organized as tabs and splits. GitHub Actions Version Updater is GitHub Action that is used to update other GitHub Actions in a Repository and create a pull request with the updates. It is an automated dependency updater similar to GitHub's Dependabot, but for GitHub Actions. GitHub Actions Version Updater first goes through all the workflows in a repository and checks for updates for each of the action used in those workflows. If an update is found and if that action is not ignored then the workflows are updated with the latest release of the action being used. If at least one workflow file is updated then a new branch is created with the changes and pushed to GitHub. Finally, a pull request is created with the newly created branch. GitHub does not allow updating workflow files inside a workflow run. -

Automatically deploy your project to GitHub Pages using GitHub Actions. This action can be configured to push your production-ready code into any branch you'd like. You can include the action in your workflow to trigger any event that GitHub actions supports. If the remote branch that you wish to deploy to doesn't already exist the action will create it for you. Your workflow will also need to include the actions/checkout step before this workflow runs in order for the deployment to work. If you intend to make multiple deployments in quick succession you may need to leverage the concurrency parameter in your workflow to prevent overlaps. The with portion of the workflow must be configured before the action will work. You can add these in the with section found in the examples above. Any secrets must be referenced using the bracket syntax and stored in the GitHub repository's Settings/Secrets menu.
