    Husky

    Git hooks made easy

Husky is a tool that makes handling Git hooks a lot easier, and lets you run the scripts you want at those stages. It works by including an object right within your package.json file. This then configures Husky so that it runs the scripts you specify. After that, it's Husky's responsibility to manage at which point in the Git lifecycle your scripts will run. Husky helps to improve your commits, lets you run tests, lint code and more when you commit or push. It is very lightweight, with zero dependencies and is capable of supporting all Git hooks.

    Jujutsu

    Jujutsu

A Git-compatible DVCS that is both simple and powerful

Jujutsu (JJ VCS) is a modern, Git-compatible version control system designed to simplify and improve how developers manage code changes. It offers a clean and intuitive workflow that works well for both individual developers and large teams with complex histories. Jujutsu separates its user interface from its storage backend, allowing it to use Git repositories while rethinking the developer experience. The system treats the working copy as a real commit, removing the need for staging areas or stashes. Jujutsu records conflicts as first-class objects, making conflict resolution more flexible and reliable. It also maintains a complete operation log, allowing users to undo almost any action. Jujutsu aims to deliver powerful history rewriting and rebasing features without the complexity commonly associated with traditional tools.

    Talisman

    Talisman

    Talisman validates the outgoing changeset

Talisman is a tool that installs a hook to your repository to ensure that potential secrets or sensitive information do not leave the developer's workstation. It validates the outgoing changeset for things that look suspicious - such as potential SSH keys, authorization tokens, private keys etc. Talisman can also be used as a repository history scanner to detect secrets that have already been checked in, so that you can take an informed decision to safeguard secrets. We recommend installing Talisman as a pre-commit git hook template, as that will cause Talisman to be present, not only in your existing git repositories, but also in any new repository that you 'init' or 'clone'. Installation of Talisman globally does not clobber pre-existing hooks on repositories. If the installation script finds any existing hooks, it will only indicate so on the console. After the installation is successful, Talisman will run checks for obvious secrets automatically before each commit or push.

    A Git extension for JupyterLab

A JupyterLab extension for version control using Git. To see the extension in action, open the example notebook included in the Binder demo. Open the Git extension from the Git tab on the left panel. This extension tries to handle credentials for HTTP(S) connections (if you don't have set up a credential manager). But not for other SSH connections. The extension can cache temporarily (by default for an hour) credentials. To use the caching, you will need to check the option Save my login temporarily in the dialog asking your credentials. Once installed, extension behavior can be modified via the following settings which can be set in JupyterLab's advanced settings editor. Set post git init actions. It is possible to provide a list of commands to be executed in a folder after it is initialized as Git repository. Set path patterns to exclude from this extension. You can use wildcard and interrogation mark for respectively everything or any single character in the pattern.

    CPM.cmake

    CPM.cmake

    CMake's missing package manager

CPM.cmake is a cross-platform CMake script that adds dependency management capabilities to CMake. It's built as a thin wrapper around CMake's FetchContent module that adds version control, caching, a simple API and more. Any downloadable project or resource can be added as a version-controlled dependency though CPM, it is not necessary to modify or package anything. Projects using modern CMake are automatically configured and their targets can be used immediately. For everything else, the targets can be created manually after the dependency has been downloaded. After CPM.cmake has been added to your project, the function CPMAddPackage can be used to fetch and configure a dependency. Afterwards, any targets defined in the dependency can be used directly. CPMAddPackage takes the following named parameters. The origin may be specified by a GIT_REPOSITORY, but other sources, such as direct URLs, are also supported.

    NodeGit

    NodeGit

    Native Node bindings to Git

Asynchronous native Node bindings to libgit2. NodeGit will work on most systems out-of-the-box without any native dependencies. If you receive errors about libstdc++, which are commonly experienced when building on Travis-CI, you can fix this by upgrading to the latest libstdc++-4.9. If you wish to help contribute to NodeGit it is useful to build locally. If you encounter errors, you most likely have not configured the dependencies correctly. You will need libpcre, libpcreposix, libkrb5, libk5crypto, and libcom_err libraries installed on your Linux machine. When building locally, you will also need development packages for kerberos and pcre, so both pcre-config, and krb5-config utilities must be present on your machine.

    Octokit

    Octokit

Ruby toolkit for the GitHub API

API wrappers should reflect the idioms of the language in which they were written. Octokit.rb wraps the GitHub API in a flat API client that follows Ruby conventions and requires little knowledge of REST. Most methods have positional arguments for required input and an options hash for optional parameters, headers, or other options. While most methods return a Resource object or a Boolean, sometimes you may need access to the raw HTTP response headers. Access tokens can be revoked, removing access for only that token without having to change your password everywhere. Access tokens have access scopes that allow for more granular access to API resources. For instance, you can grant a third party access to your gists but not your private repositories. Two-Factor Authentication brings added security to the account by requiring more information to login.

    Tig

    Tig

    Text-mode interface for git

Tig is an ncurses-based text-mode interface for git. It functions mainly as a Git repository browser, but can also assist in staging changes for commit at chunk level and act as a pager for output from various Git commands. Tig allows you to browse changes in a Git repository and can additionally act as a pager for output of various Git commands. When used as a pager, it will display input from stdin and colorize it. When browsing repositories, Tig uses the underlying Git commands to present the user with various views, such as summarized commit log and showing the commit with the log message, diffstat, and the diff. If stdin is a pipe, any log or diff options will be ignored and the pager view will be opened loading data from stdin. The pager mode can be used for colorizing output from various Git commands. All Git command options specified on the command line will be passed to the given command and all will be shell quoted before they are passed to the shell.

    commitlint

    commitlint

    Lint commit messages

commitlint checks if your commit messages meet the conventional commit format. commitlint helps your team adhere to a commit convention. By supporting npm-installed configurations it makes sharing of commit conventions easy. We're not a sponsored OSS project. Therefore we can't promise that we will release patch versions for older releases in a timely manner. If you are stuck on an older version and need a security patch we're happy if you can provide a PR. If something in between fails (like a new packages was added and needs to be published for the first time but you forgot) you can use lerna publish from-package to publish anythign that has not been published yet. We identify ease of adoption and developer experience as fields where there is room and need for improvement. The items on the roadmap should enhance commitlint regarding those aspects.

    git-flow

    git-flow

Git extensions to provide high-level repository operations

git-flow is the original set of Git extensions that implements Vincent Driessen’s well-known branching model via a convenient command-line interface. Instead of memorizing the choreography, you run high-level commands like git flow init, git flow feature start/finish, git flow release start/finish, and git flow hotfix to create, merge, and tag branches following a consistent structure. The model separates long-lived master (or main) and develop branches, encourages topic branches for features, and formalizes release and hotfix flows, which helps teams coordinate work and control what reaches production. The scripts enforce naming conventions, guide merges in the right direction, and add version tags to releases so you keep a clean, auditable history. Teams often adopt git-flow to make branching and release management predictable, especially when multiple developers are shipping features and bug fixes in parallel.

    git-flow (AVH Edition)

AVH Edition of the git extensions to provide high-level repository ops

A collection of Git extensions to provide high-level repository operations for Vincent Driessen's branching model. This fork adds functionality not added to the original branch. For those who use the Bash or ZSH shell, you can use my fork of git-flow-completion which includes several additions for git-flow (AVH Edition), or you can use the original git-flow-completion project by bobthecow. Both offer tab-completion for git-flow subcommands and branch names with my fork including tab-completion for the commands not found in the original git-flow. For a wide variety of commands hooks or filters can be called before and after the command. The files should be placed in .git/hooks In the directory hooks you can find examples of all the hooks available. You can easily publish a feature you are working on. The reason can be to allow other programmers to work on it or to access it from another machine.

Connect to Dolt just like any MySQL database to run queries or update the data using SQL commands. Use the command line interface to import CSV files, commit your changes, push them to a remote, or merge your teammate's changes. All the commands you know for Git work exactly the same for Dolt. Git versions files, Dolt versions tables. It's like Git and MySQL had a baby. We also built DoltHub, a place to share Dolt databases. We host public data for free. If you want to host your own version of DoltHub, we have DoltLab. If you want us to run a Dolt server for you, we have Hosted Dolt. Git GUI Client

Many Git client apps have some problems. It's too late to start up, falls well, is user registration tedious when downloading, is paid for commercial use, is not multi-platform, or is an animation or visual effect. It was said that the production was overkill and the wizard and the source code were not published. I tried to eliminate such inconvenience as much as possible. At first I started developing it for my own study, because I was interested in learning how to use Git and how it worked inside. Some of the best engineers of the time may think Git in GUI. That's a lot of it. When I want to execute a command that I rarely use, I sometimes force myself to do not rely on the GUI, open the terminal and hand enter the git command. If you find a feature that you find useful, you can incorporate it into this app. You can use it comfortably for daily use of Git operations, want to see the commit graphs cleanly, or just for such uses.
