PyMuPDF
Python bindings for MuPDF's rendering library.
MuPDF is a lightweight PDF, XPS, and E-book viewer. MuPDF consists of a software library, command line tools, and viewers for various platforms. The renderer in MuPDF is tailored for high-quality anti-aliased graphics. It renders text with metrics and spacing accurate to within fractions of a pixel for the highest fidelity in reproducing the look of a printed page on the screen. The viewer is small, fast, yet complete. It supports many document formats, such as PDF, XPS, OpenXPS, CBZ, EPUB, and FictionBook 2. You can annotate PDF documents and fill out forms with the mobile viewers (this feature is coming soon to the desktop viewer as well). The command line tools allow you to annotate, edit, and convert documents to other formats such as HTML, SVG, PDF, and CBZ. You can also write scripts to manipulate documents using Javascript. The library is written modularly in portable C, so features can be added and removed by integrators if they so desire. -

Monospaced font family for user interface and coding environments. Source Code Pro is a set of OpenType fonts that have been designed to work well in user interface (UI) environments. The fonts' source files and build instructions are available in the repository's master branch. Provides several types and styles of fonts for coding purposes. To build the binary font files from source, you need Python 3 along with the Adobe Font Development Kit for OpenType (AFDKO) and FontTools packages. The key to building the OTF fonts is makeotf, which is part of the AFDKO toolset. Information and usage instructions can be found by executing makeotf -h. The TTFs are generated with the otf2ttf and ttfcomponentizer tools. For convenience, a shell script named build.sh is provided in the root directory. It builds all OTFs and TTFs into a directory called target/. -

A programming font based on the typeface used in Minecraft
Monocraft is a font for developers who like Minecraft a little too much. Featuring monospaced characters and tasteful ligatures, I've carefully designed each glyph in Monocraft to be usable in a dev environment while preserving that Minecraft charm. The characters in this font were based on the typeface used in the Minecraft UI, with a select few glyphs updated for better readability and spacing. Each character has been carefully redesigned to work in a monospaced font. Vazirmatn Font
Vazirmatn is a Persian/Arabic font
Vazirmatn is a Persian/Arabic font project that started in 2015 under the name of Vazir with the idea of a new simple and legible typeface suitable for web pages and applications. Design and development have taken a long way but I hope the results are worth it. Thanks to DejaVu Sans font (v2.35) published in public domain there was a free software base to start the Vazir project. Although Vazir was completely different in typeface, still the original software was common. The design is done in Fontforge. For Latin glyphs, Vazirmatn is combined with Roboto font by a build script, however, there is also a version without Latin glyphs (Non-Latin). All weights other than Thin, Regular and Black are generated by the interpolation method by fontmake library. -

Codeface is a gallery and repository of monospaced fonts for developers. Fonts displayed in the main gallery, bitmap gallery, and CJK gallery are distributed through this repository. The font name link will open the respective font directory where you can download fonts from each typeface. This directory also includes the typeface license. The font archive links on the main gallery page include all fonts in the main gallery and bitmap font gallery collections. The font archive links on the CJK gallery page include only the fonts included in the CJK gallery. These font archives are updated with all font updates in the respective galleries. Fonts displayed in the Non-redistribution gallery are free for desktop use; however, their licenses do not permit redistribution through the Codeface repository. You can use the font name link to open the download page on the respective typeface site. -

This project was initiated by the need to read font files in the DOMPDF project. -

Circle is an icon theme for Linux from the Numix project. This readme provides information on installation, icon requests and hardcoded icons. Licensed under the GPL-3.0+. If using this with our base icon theme make sure you install both parts using the same method. This makes sure that the panel icons keep working as intended. If you use Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo or any of their derivatives then you're sorted! Numix Circle is available from the official repositories. If you use Ubuntu or any of its derivatives (including Mint and elementary OS) you can use our Numix PPA to get the very latest version of the theme. For Arch users there's a community-maintained package in the AUR that builds from this GitHub. For Gentoo users there's a community-maintained ebuild in the edgets overlay which builds icons directly from Lumix-core repository, so you receive latest commits. To deal with hardcoded application icons Numix uses the hardcode-fixer script. -

This is a Modified version of Debian's official ttf-mscorefonts-installer package. The official Debian package contains a script which automatically downloads the MS True type fonts from a SF domain from a URL using the HTTPS:// protocol. The problem with this, Is due to lack of maintenance on more than one occasion the required TLS certificates were allowed to expire. This results in an inability to download these fonts from within the Debian package. Users will experience a TLS or Expired certificate error and get stuck in a download loop inside of the Debian terminal or package manager. This modified version of the package avoids that error simply by replacing all HTTPS:// designations inside of the install script, With the basic HTTP:// protocol instead. Eliminating the need for the TLS certificates all together. If you are having difficultly installing the ttf-mscorefonts-installer package on Debian. This modified version might be the solution you're looking for.

ttf-mscorefonts-installer is a Debian package that simplifies the installation of Microsoft TrueType Core Fonts on Debian-based systems. It provides an automated way to download and install widely used web fonts such as Arial, Times New Roman, and Verdana that are not shipped directly with Debian due to licensing restrictions. The package fetches the official font files from Microsoft over the internet and installs them in a system-compatible format. It is commonly used to ensure document and web layout compatibility across platforms, especially when sharing files with Windows users. While free alternatives exist, this installer remains useful when exact font rendering is required. The package is lightweight, shell-based, and designed to integrate cleanly with Debian’s package management system. -

3270font
A 3270 font in a modern format
This font is derived from the x3270 font, which, in turn, was translated from the one in Georgia Tech's 3270tool, which was itself hand-copied from a 3270 series terminal. I built it because I felt terminals deserve to be pretty. The .sfd font file contains a x3270 bitmap font that was used for guidance. The "source" file is edited using FontForge. You'll need it if you want to generate fonts for your platform. On most civilized operating systems, you can simply apt-get install fontforge, yum install fontforge or even port install fontforge. If you are running Windows, you'll probably need something like WSL or Cygwin, but, in the end, the font works correctly (with some very minor hinting issues). The easiest way to generate the font files your computer can use is to run make all (if you are running Ubuntu or Debian, make install will install them too). Using make help will offer a handy list of options. -

This font is based on the Japanese font M⁺ gothic 12r to modify and expand Traditional Chinese, including punctuation marks suitable for Traditional Chinese and fonts that are more in line with Taiwanese habits. Fantasque Sans Mono
A font family with a great monospaced variant for programmers
A programming font, designed with functionality in mind, and with some wibbly-wobbly handwriting-like fuzziness that makes it unassumingly cool. Now with ligatures. Development hosted on Github. Previously known as Cosmic Sans Neue Mono. It appeared that similar names were already in use for other fonts, and that people tended to extend their instinctive hatred of Comic Sans to this very font of mine (which of course can only be loved). The font includes a bold version, with the same metrics as the regular one. Both versions include the same ranges of characters, latin letters, some accented glyphs (quite a lot), some greek letters, some arrows. It also features a good italic version, which I designed in a fashion similar to Consolas' italic version, with new glyph designs, not just an added slant. -

A strong, neutral, principles-driven, open source typeface for text
A strong, neutral typeface for interfaces, text, and headings. Public Sans is a fork of the SIL Open Licensed face Libre Franklin. Public Sans has many similarities with its parent, but differs enough in its particulars that its effect is distinct. Adjusted vertical metrics. Public Sans is about 2% shorter than Libre Franklin, and has slightly looser default line spacing. Tailed lowercase l. The lowercase l character has a hooked tail for disambiguation. (There is also an optional untailed l.) Regularized stroke weight. Public Sans provides a more regular letterform from the conventional Franklin shape for a cleaner, more consistent letterform, especially at small sizes. Non-rounded vertices. Conventional angled vertices result in a sharper, stronger form. Narrower characters. Public Sans is narrower, especially in rounded characters like lowercase e to help with reading flow, especially in longer texts. Looser letterspacing. Public Sans has relatively loose letterspacing for reading.
