This project was originally designed to provide an open-source replacement for PPJoy. The product, at this point, consists of virtual joystick devices that is seen by the system as a standard joystick but its position-data is written to it by a feeder application. An existing feeder application that takes advantage of this product is SmartPropoPlus. If you are an application writer you can very easily write an application that controls a joystick (e.g. mouse-to-joystick, keyboard-to-joystick). If you are a beginner in device drivers you can take this code and enhance it to support more (or less) axes, buttons or POVs.

AviTab
X-Plane plugin that displays a tablet to aid VR usage
AviTab is a plugin for the X-Plane flight simulator. It displays a tablet-like computer with a few apps in the cockpit. It is mainly used for flying in virtual reality. When flying in a simulator, one often needs to look up details in PDF charts, plane manuals, checklists or other documents. Using a PDF reader breaks the immersion because the virtual aviator either has to take off of their HMD or use other tools that can move windows into VR. AviTab tries to solve this problem by offering a PDF reader inside a native plugin for X-Plane. Using a plugin also opens possibilities for more apps inside the tablet, for example, to display information about the plane status or aid in navigation. When hovering over the edges of the tablet from a short distance, X-Plane will display green bars around the tablet. The upper bar can be used to grab the window and move it around inside the cockpit. -

JSBSim is a multi-platform, general purpose object-oriented Flight Dynamics Model (FDM) written in C++. The FDM is essentially the physics & math model that defines the movement of an aircraft, rocket, etc., under the forces and moments applied to it using the various control mechanisms and from the forces of nature. JSBSim can be run in a standalone batch mode flight simulator (no graphical displays a.k.a. console mode) for testing and study, or integrated with the Unreal engine, FlightGear and many other simulation environments. -

osm2xp 3.0 was forked from original osm2xp 2.0 created by Benjamin Blanchet The program takes PBF file with OSM data for some area as input and supports the generation of following based on it: * Buildings based on facades and 3D objects with differing residential, industrial, etc. * Forest zones with basic multipolygon support * Some objects by rules - cranes, towers... * Roads, with trying to select best matching road type, if lane count data is present in OSM * Railways * Power lines * Barriers, two types are supported - fence and wall * Water tanks, fuel tanks, gasometers * Chimneys, cooling towers - by inserting special objects with size closest to necessary * Airfields (apt.dat) with runways, helipads, and taxiways - starting from 3.5.0 The program requires Java 8 or newer to run. DACPEI is divided in 9 modules, for analyzing mission profile, Aircraft performance, propulsion and layout design, as well as sketch component for developing aircraft drawings. DACPEI enable users to export their design to the FlightGear flight simulator software, enabling the designer to "test-drive" their designs while they are on the drawing board. Designers will get an immediate feel for the performance and handling qualities of their designs in less than 7 minutes. -
