    IPFS Submarine

    IPFS Submarine

Bash commands to submarine folders and files on the IPFS

...The following repository contains helper scripts to allow you to submarine folders and files. Submarining is the process of obtaining and publishing an IPFS folder without publishing the files contained within the folder. This is useful for, for example, an NFT project using the OpenZeppelin ERC721 contract, where images are enumerated. The scripts set up two instances of the IPFS, one which is kept private, and one which is a public gateway out to the rest of the IPFS. The image folder is added and pinned in the private IPFS swarm, and then commands are avaialbe for copying parts but not all of the files underlying a folder to the public gateway.

    Streaming torrent client for node.js

peerflix is a Node.js-based streaming torrent client that lets you stream video or audio files directly from a torrent (magnet link or .torrent file), without needing to wait for the entire download to finish. It spins up a small HTTP server that serves the torrent’s content as it’s downloaded; for example, if you point a media player (like VLC or MPV) to the provided URL, it will start playing almost immediately. Peerflix automatically selects the largest file in a multi-file torrent by default (or can list all files for manual selection), and supports passing arbitrary flags to the media player — letting you stream with subtitles, full-screen mode, or other player-specific options. ...

...Furthermore, if you share a file with someone else, you'll benefit from any further information they share about the file, even if they have an independent copy. For example, someone else may add a preview to a file, and as long as the SHA512 digest of the file matches your copy, you'll see the preview associated with your copy of the file. Someone else may mark another file as a re-encoded duplicate, or simply add more search terms. You can search information people have shared about their files and download a file from them if you do not already have it. ...
