SAGA - System for Automated Geoscientific Analyses - is a Geographic Information System (GIS) software with immense capabilities for geodata processing and analysis. SAGA is programmed in the object oriented C++ language and supports the implementation of new functions with a very effective Application Programming Interface (API). Functions are organised as modules in framework independent Module Libraries and can be accessed via SAGA’s Graphical User Interface (GUI) or various scripting environments (shell scripts, Python, R, ...). The Grid Analysis and Display System (GrADS) is an interactive desktop tool for easy access, manipulation, and visualization of earth science data. The OpenGrADS Project seeks to develop advanced interfaces and extensions based on the main GrADS engine.

gputils is a collection of tools for Microchip PIC microcontrollers. Its goal is to be fully compatible with Microchip's tools, MPASM, MPLINK, and MPLIB.

ToxTrac is a free Windows program optimized for tracking animals. It uses an advanced tracking algorithm and includes Preprocessing, Background subtraction, Thresholding, Post-processing, and Filters. It is robust; very fast; and can handle one or several animals in one or several environments. The program provides useful statistics as output. DeepChem aims to provide a high-quality open-source toolchain that democratizes the use of deep learning in drug discovery, materials science, quantum chemistry, and biology. DeepChem currently supports Python 3.7 through 3.9 and requires these packages on any condition. DeepChem has a number of "soft" requirements. Deepchem provides support for TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX and each requires an individual pip Installation. The DeepChem project maintains an extensive collection of tutorials. All tutorials are designed to be run on Google collab (or locally if you prefer). The Astropy Project is a community effort to develop a common core package for Astronomy in Python and foster an ecosystem of interoperable astronomy packages. Astropy is a Python library for use in astronomy. Learn Astropy provides a portal to all of the Astropy educational material through a single dynamically searchable web page. It allows you to filter tutorials by keywords, search for filters, and make search queries in tutorials and documentation simultaneously. The Anaconda Python Distribution includes Astropy and is the recommended way to install both Python and the Astropy package. The astropy package contains key functionality and common tools needed for performing astronomy and astrophysics with Python. It is at the core of the Astropy Project, which aims to enable the community to develop a robust ecosystem of affiliated packages covering a broad range of needs for astronomical research, data processing, and data analysis.

The hydrological model HYPE is developed at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI). The model simulates water, nutrients and other substances in small and large river catchments. Included in the project is HYSS, which is needed to run the model. It handles input and output and the simuation over time.

Niche Analyst (NicheA) was developed based on the BAM framework which allows users to create virtual spaces and virtual species, and to analyze ecological niches in both multivariate environmental and geographic spaces, linking views of the niche in the two spaces. The unique functionality in NicheA, not available in other software programs, is estimating Grinnellian niches of species based on environmental variables and occurrence records, but with a clear focus on fundamental ecological niches. NicheA can display ecological niches; calculate their shape, density, location, and other attributes; and quantify similarity among multiple niches.

Caesar Lisflood is a geomorphological / Landscape evolution model that combines the Lisflood-FP 2d hydrodynamic flow model (Bates et al, 2010) with the CAESAR geomorphic model to simulate erosion and deposition in river catchments and reaches over time scales from hours to 1000's of years. These sourceforge pages provide downloads of the .exe and the source code for CAESAR-lisflood and instructions and additional documentation can be found in the Wiki tab. ALAMODE is designed for analyzing lattice anharmonicity and lattice thermal conductivity of solids. By using an external DFT package such as VASP and Quantum ESPRESSO, you can extract harmonic and anharmonic force constants straightforwardly with ALAMODE. Using the anharmonic force constants, you can also calculate lattice thermal conductivity from first principles.
