Open Source Swift Earth Sciences Software

Sensecast is the weather app that tells you why, not just what. Every number in the forecast has an explanation—tap the info button on any value to get a plain-language sensation analogy first, the safety scale second, and the physics third. Your location is routed to the agency that actually models your terrain: NOAA/NWS across the US, MET Norway, HKO for typhoons, Météo-France's 1.3 km AROME grid. 15 sources free, 18 total. A 20-topic weather academy lives inside the app, and live hazards sit beneath the forecast: tornado touchdowns, county-level power outages, earthquake, wildfire, and tropical cyclone trackers, plus a weather risk score. Free, no account, no ads. Pro ($2.99/mo, $23.99/yr with a 3-day trial, or $99.99 lifetime) adds pressure-drop migraine alerts and storm verification reports with a checkable reference ID. Live on Google Play; iOS, iPad and Mac in TestFlight beta. Fully localized in Spanish — the app follows your device language.
