Blocky is a fast, lightweight DNS proxy and network-wide ad blocker designed for home labs and small networks that want Pi-hole-like filtering with more flexible DNS routing and modern protocol support. It blocks DNS queries using external deny lists while also supporting allow lists, and it can scope policies by client groups so different devices or households can have different rulesets. Bdns is a WEB interface written in PHP to manage a BIND server. It runs on Apache/PHP/MySQL, supports BIND 8 and 9, master/slave/stub zones, zone options/global options, acls, zone delegation, and 3 levels of user accounts that manage DNS data.

This application is intended to provide an overview of a site's own authoritative named (DNS) server's "zone" files. Note that it does NOT create or modify any files - so don't expect to use this application to "set up" a DNS server. There are three parts to the DNSzoneView document: a) brief numerical summary of zone RR counts b) scatter plot of zone files relative to number of RR records and last-modified date-time of a zone file c) a listing of configured "local" zone files and the ability to view a read-only copy of their data. Note that appropriate authorization is required to access the requisite files. Also, this application does not "discover" files that are used - they must be configured in advance.
