Open Source Windows Digital Camera Software

digiCamControl is an free and open source software. This allows you to save time by transferring images directly from your camera to your computer as you take each shot and allow to control camera shooting parameters.

Luminance HDR is a complete suite for HDR imaging workflow. It provides a wide range of functionalities, during both the fusion stage and the tonemapping stage. Its graphical user interface, based on Qt5, runs on a variety of platforms, such as Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X 10.9 and later and several Unix flavors (Linux, FreeBSD and others). Input images can be supplied in multiple formats, from JPEG to RAW files. In the same way, output can be saved in many different formats as well, from JPEG to TIFF (both 8 bit and 16 bit per channel), enabling all the power of your post processing tools.

Most digital cameras produce EXIF files, which are JPEG files with extra tags that contain information about the image. “Camera Digital Exif Info” is a free info viewer, provides you to check your digital camera (most of the SLR) shutter count and basic EXIF info. There are various EXIF tools around of course, but cool GUI application and simplicity are always a plus. Shutter actuation is an important factor because it tells you the extent of wear the camera has undergone, and it’s particularly crucial when you are buying used cameras. Almost all new digital cameras use the EXIF annotation, storing information on the image such as shutter speed, exposure compensation, F-number, what metering system was used, if a flash was used, ISO number, date and time the image was taken, white balance, lenses that were used and resolution. All this Informations is usually embedded in the EXIF data of the picture files. This tool is available as a stand-alone Windows win32 executable and a Macintosh OS X package.

NOTE: We are moving this project to GitHub! Digital photographs are not ideal. Of course, the better is your camera, the better the results will be, but in any case if you look carefully at shots taken even by the most expensive cameras equipped with the most expensive lenses you will see various artifacts. It is very hard to make ideal cameras, because there are a lot of factors that affect the final image quality, and at some point camera and lens designers have to trade one factor for another to achieve the optimal image quality, within the given design restrictions and budget. But we all want ideal shots, don't we? :) So that's what's lensfun is all about - rectifying the defects introduced by your photographic equipment.

Basic Webcam Application for Windows Basic Webcam is a webcam application for Windows. You can use it when recording a screen video. You can also take a photo of yourself. It supports mirroring. This tool can be used with a screen recorder as a webcam (if your screen recorder has no webcam feature) or if you are using either an old Windows version or a modified version which does not include UWP Camera app. You can select one of your camera drivers to use from the list. You can right click to access the menu. Here you can enable always on top and compact view, you can take a photo from the camera, you can start/stop the camera, you can select camera driver, you can view about page and exit from the program. This program requires .NET Framework 4.0 and Windows XP or later.
