Luminance HDR is a complete suite for HDR imaging workflow. It provides a wide range of functionalities, during both the fusion stage and the tonemapping stage. Its graphical user interface, based on Qt5, runs on a variety of platforms, such as Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X 10.9 and later and several Unix flavors (Linux, FreeBSD and others). Input images can be supplied in multiple formats, from JPEG to RAW files. In the same way, output can be saved in many different formats as well, from JPEG to TIFF (both 8 bit and 16 bit per channel), enabling all the power of your post processing tools.

The DSM manages the interactions between TWAIN applications and TWAIN Data Sources for the acquisition of images from scanners and cameras. This DSM is open source software and uses LGPL licenses.

YASW (Yet Another Scan Wizard) is an application used to correct images taken with a camera. This program can display up to two Windows DirectShow cameras. It is pretty lightweight because it uses direct access to DirectShow Windows API. NOTE: We are moving this project to GitHub! Digital photographs are not ideal. Of course, the better is your camera, the better the results will be, but in any case if you look carefully at shots taken even by the most expensive cameras equipped with the most expensive lenses you will see various artifacts. It is very hard to make ideal cameras, because there are a lot of factors that affect the final image quality, and at some point camera and lens designers have to trade one factor for another to achieve the optimal image quality, within the given design restrictions and budget. But we all want ideal shots, don't we? :) So that's what's lensfun is all about - rectifying the defects introduced by your photographic equipment.

OpenExif is an object-oriented library for accessing Exif formated JPEG image files. The toolkit allows creating, reading, and modifying the metadata in the Exif file. It also provides means of getting and setting the main image and the thumbnail image.

A new version of the popular raw digital images manipulator ufraw. Forks from the version 0.23 of ufraw (that's why the first nufraw version is the 0.24). Nufraw offers the same features (gimp plugin, batch, ecc) and the same quality of ufraw in a brand new improved user interface.

This software is made available to owners of Kodak's DC120 digital camera who would like to convert the .kdc files produced by the camera to .tiff or .jpeg files using Linux or other UNIX machines.

Fwink is a webcam application for Windows. It takes still images from your camera and uploads them to an FTP server. You have the option to add effects to your images.

The Picture Metadata Toolkit (PMT) provides a common object-oriented API to metadata associated with or stored in digital image files. PMT also allows metadata to be read or written in XML. Metadata definitions are expressed through XML Schema.

This is an open source program for controlling digital cameras, especially those that support PTP. The initial focus is on native Mac support, but long term thinking is to support Linux/gphoto2 as well.

Java access to USB, currently using kernel 2.4 Linux-USB support. There is a "core" API for accessing USB devices, and simple tools including a USB viewer in Swing. Applications are being developed separately, including digital camera support.

MotionView consist of a set of utilities for motion (http://motion.sf.net). XMotion is a graphical interface which supports viewing the pictures captured (via FTP or local file system) and the interactive configuration using the XML-RPC protocol.

Usual webcams run a server Tom remotely access images and videos. This often prevents the server from going to suspend. This tool listens on a configurable port on a GET request requesting a .jpg file. Up on such a request, the webcam is configured, activated, an image is captured, and the image is returned as a usual http reply. This enables the server to suspend and to wait for a WOL to resume.
