FIDe is a software-based fault injector designed to validate Fault-Tolerant mechanisms and techniques used by applications. It was first used to measure database recovery coverage and costs, but can be used to test and validate ordinary applications.

File-Spector is a small, fast and easy to use binary file analyzer and Inspector. It allows the users to format a complete binary file structure and then use it to read any binary file that matches the specified format.

FlowLens MCP Server is an open-source tool designed to give AI-powered coding agents (like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot / Codex, and others) full, replayable browser context to dramatically improve debugging, bug reporting, and regression testing for web applications. It works together with a companion browser extension: when a user reproduces a bug or a complicated UI interaction, the extension captures a rich session log, including screen/video recording, network traffic, console logs, DOM events, storage changes, and more, and exports it. The MCP server then loads this captured “flow” and exposes it to the AI agent via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), letting the agent examine, search, filter, and reason about the session just as a human developer would, without needing the agent to re-run the flow or rely on minimal reproduction data (logs, screenshots).

GEF is a set of commands for x86/64, ARM, MIPS, PowerPC and SPARC to assist exploit developers and reverse-engineers when using old-school GDB. It provides additional features to GDB using the Python API to assist during the process of dynamic analysis and exploit development. Application developers will also benefit from it, as GEF lifts a great part of regular GDB obscurity, avoiding repeating traditional commands or bringing out the relevant information from the debugging runtime.

MSCViewer is a tool intended for debugging of control flows in concurrent, distributed systems. The tool loads logs generated by various entities in the system and visualize a sequence diagram chart for events and interactions. The diagram is fully interactive: entity can be added/removed from the diagram and shuffled; events can be filtered, searched, highlighted and annotated with comments. MSCViewer features integration with a Python interpreter which allows writing Python scripts interacting with the model. This powerful feature can be used to automate validatation of distributed control flows, integrate with graphing infrastructure, etc.

PyDbgExt is a WinDbg extention which support use Python script in WinDbg command line. Through this extention, we can call some predefine Python script to control the debug session, or directly evaluate expression or call other method.

PySnooper is a simple yet powerful Python debugging utility. Just add a @pysnooper.snoop() decorator, and it logs line-by-line execution with timestamps and local variable tracking—saving you from inserting print() statements manually.

pyringe is a powerful Python process “syringe” that attaches to a running interpreter and lets you introspect—and even execute code inside—that live process. It blends debugger-style attachment (via gdb/ptrace techniques) with Python-aware helpers so you can inspect threads, frames, locals, and heap objects without restarting the target. This is invaluable for post-mortem diagnosis of production daemons where reproducing a bug in a dev shell is impractical. pyringe can inject arbitrary Python into the target process, enabling on-the-spot logging, state dumps, or gentle patching to keep a system limping along while you gather evidence. It’s also useful for forensic snapshots: enumerate objects of a certain type, find reference cycles, or measure memory pressure without pre-instrumentation. While powerful, it’s designed for careful, auditable use—showing exactly what code runs and where—so teams can regain visibility when black-box processes go sideways.

This module goal is to make the debugging tool of python shell even better. By replacing a few methods in the sys module. Standard error traceback are more powerfull with bettererror.py.

Quercitools has just one tool for now - stackcheck.py. It helps in troubleshooting of stack overruns. Such defects destroy stack contents and locating the source of the problem is not easy. This is where stackcheck.py comes to help. It runs a program under test by gdb and protects some parts of the stack. If the program overwrites such parts stackcheck.py stops the program and points to the offending line of code.

RapidGDB is a scriptable GUI for the GDB debugger. Almost every aspect of the program can be extended using Python code snippets.
