    Quercitools

    Quercitools

    Troubleshoot stack overruns

Quercitools has just one tool for now - stackcheck.py. It helps in troubleshooting of stack overruns. Such defects destroy stack contents and locating the source of the problem is not easy. This is where stackcheck.py comes to help. It runs a program under test by gdb and protects some parts of the stack. If the program overwrites such parts stackcheck.py stops the program and points to the offending line of code.

    SpoofMAC

    SpoofMAC

Change your MAC address for debugging

SpoofMAC is a command-line utility for changing and restoring MAC addresses on network interfaces in Linux and macOS systems. The project allows users to randomize or manually configure MAC addresses to improve privacy, testing flexibility, or network anonymity in various environments. It automates low-level networking commands and provides a user-friendly interface for managing interface states and address changes safely. SpoofMAC is commonly used for privacy protection on public networks, penetration testing workflows, and network simulation environments where MAC address manipulation is required. The tool also supports restoring the original hardware MAC address and handling multiple network interfaces efficiently. Its lightweight design and straightforward command-line usage make it popular among system administrators, developers, and security researchers.

    Tangent

    Tangent

Source-to-source debuggable derivatives in pure Python

Existing libraries implement automatic differentiation by tracing a program's execution (at runtime, like PyTorch) or by staging out a dynamic data-flow graph and then differentiating the graph (ahead-of-time, like TensorFlow). In contrast, Tangent performs ahead-of-time autodiff on the Python source code itself, and produces Python source code as its output. Tangent fills a unique location in the space of machine learning tools. As a result, you can finally read your automatic derivative code just like the rest of your program. Tangent is useful to researchers and students who not only want to write their models in Python, but also read and debug automatically-generated derivative code without sacrificing speed and flexibility. Tangent works on a large and growing subset of Python, provides extra autodiff features other Python ML libraries don't have, has reasonable performance, and is compatible with TensorFlow and NumPy.

    Vimspector

    Vimspector

A multi-language debugging system for Vim

vimspector is a powerful debugging plugin for Vim and Neovim designed to bring IDE-style debugging capabilities (breakpoints, stepping, call stacks, watch windows) into the modal editor world. It supports multiple languages (C++, Python, TCL among others) via the Debug Adapter Protocol (DAP) model and provides an in-editor UI for viewing scopes, variables, stack frames, output windows and more. You configure it per-project via a .vimspector.json file (or per file type) specifying the adapter, launch configuration or attach process. Once configured you can run, pause, step into/out/over, set and clear breakpoints and inspect variables directly in Vim splits or floating windows. The UI is heavy compared to typical Vim plugins (multiple panes, layouts) but it fills the gap for users who want an integrated debug workflow without leaving the editor.
