IceCream
Never use print() to debug again
Do you ever use print() or log() to debug your code? Of course you do. IceCream, or ic for short, makes print debugging a little sweeter. With arguments, ic() inspects itself and prints both its own arguments and the values of those arguments. Just give ic() a variable or expression and you're done. ic() returns its argument(s), so ic() can easily be inserted into pre-existing code. Additionally, ic()'s output can be entirely disabled, and later re-enabled, with ic.disable() and ic.enable() respectively. ic() continues to return its arguments when disabled, of course; no existing code with ic() breaks. To make ic() available in every file without needing to be imported in every file, you can install() it. ic() can also be imported in a manner that fails gracefully if IceCream isn't installed, like in production environments (i.e. not development). -

iOS WebKit Debug Proxy
A DevTools proxy for iOS devices
The ios_webkit_debug_proxy (aka iwdp) proxies requests from usbmuxd daemon over a websocket connection, allowing developers to send commands to MobileSafari and UIWebViews on real and simulated iOS devices. iOS WebKit Debug Proxy works on Linux, MacOS & Windows. The iOS Simulator is supported, but it must be started before the proxy. The simulator can be started in XCode, standalone, or via the command line. ios_webkit_debug_proxy can be used with many tools such as Chrome DevTools and Safari Web Inspector. To use Chrome DevTools it's the recommendation to use the RemoteDebug/remotedebug-ios-webkit-adapter project, which has instructions on how to setup Chrome to remote debug iOS devices, much similar to Android debugging. You can use Safari Web Inspector extracted from Webkit sources, e.g. artygus/webkit-webinspector. Another option is mozilla/valence which enables Firefox DevTools to be used with iOS. -

Quick and dirty debugging output for tired Go programmers
q is a better way to do print statement debugging. For best results, dedicate a terminal to tailing $TMPDIR/q while you work. You also can simply tail -f $TMPDIR/q, but it's highly recommended to use the provided commands. Type q.Q instead of fmt.Printf and your variables will be printed like the provided example. Faster to type, pretty-printed vars and expressions. Easier to see inside structs, doesn't go to noisy-ass stdout. It goes to $TMPDIR/q. q Go offers pretty colors! -

Record and Replay Framework
rr aspires to be your primary C/C++ debugging tool for Linux, replacing — well, enhancing — gdb. You record a failure once, then debug the recording, deterministically, as many times as you want. The same execution is replayed every time. rr also provides efficient reverse execution under gdb. Set breakpoints and data watchpoints and quickly reverse-execute to where they were hit. rr works on real applications and is used by many developers to fix real bugs. It makes debugging hard bugs much easier, but also speeds up debugging of easy bugs. -

MinGW GCC For ARM

This is a Windows command line based cross development environment for ARM built from the latest stable release of GCC (currently 13.1.0). I recently built 12.2.0 incorrectly so I've deleted it. Also included is Gnu make along with the necessary MinGW dlls to make it all work. I build this tool chain, from time to time, to use for testing Flash Insight, a device programmer that is available on my website. I want to make it available to the embedded development community since building gcc under MinGW isn't a trivial exercise and if you're like me you probably just want to work on your project and not fiddle with building tool chains. Unzip the archive to the location of your choice, include the top level "bin" directory in your path and start developing. -
