    DeepONets, Neural Operators, Physics-Informed Neural Ops in Julia

    Neural operator is a novel deep learning architecture. It learns an operator, which is a mapping between infinite-dimensional function spaces. It can be used to resolve partial differential equations (PDE). Instead of solving by finite element method, a PDE problem can be resolved by training a neural network to learn an operator mapping from infinite-dimensional space (u, t) to infinite-dimensional space f(u, t). Neural operator learns a continuous function between two continuous function spaces. The kernel can be trained on different geometry, which is learned from a graph. Fourier neural operator learns a neural operator with Dirichlet kernel to form a Fourier transformation. It performs Fourier transformation across infinite-dimensional function spaces and learns better than neural operators. Markov neural operator learns a neural operator with Fourier operators.

    The idea behind ReplMaker.jl is to make a tool for building (domain-specific) languages in Julia. Suppose you've invented some language called MyLang and you've implemented a parser that turns MyLang code into Julia code which is then supposed to be executed by the Julia runtime. With ReplMaker.jl, you can simply hook your parser into the package and ReplMaker will then create a REPL mode where end users just type MyLang code and have it executed automatically. My hope is for this to be useful to someone who implements a full language or DSL in Julia that uses syntax not supported by Julia's parser and doesn't want to deal with the headache of making their own REPL mode.

    RuntimeGeneratedFunctions are functions generated at runtime without world-age issues and with the full performance of a standard Julia anonymous function. This builds functions in a way that avoids eval. For technical reasons, RuntimeGeneratedFunctions needs to cache the function expression in a global variable within some module. This is normally transparent to the user, but if the RuntimeGeneratedFunction is evaluated during module precompilation, the cache module must be explicitly set to the module currently being precompiled. This is relevant for helper functions in some modules that construct a RuntimeGeneratedFunction on behalf of the user.

The core of Semagrams is just a library; in order to make it do things, one needs to create an "app" that uses it. Currently, the only app that is being developed is a Petri net editor, though this will soon change. In order to run the Petri net editor standalone, install Mill and npm, and then in one terminal in scala/ run mill --watch apps.petri.fullLinkJS and in another terminal in scala/ run npm run dev. The second command should print out a url that you can click on. You may have to run npm install before running npm run dev.

    jlrs is a crate that provides access to most of the Julia C API, it can be used to embed Julia in Rust applications and to use functionality it provides when writing ccallable functions in Rust. Currently, this crate is only tested in combination with Julia 1.6 and 1.9, but also supports Julia 1.7, 1.8, and 1.10. Using the current stable version is highly recommended. The minimum supported Rust version is currently 1.65. Julia must be installed before jlrs can be used, jlrs is compatible with Julia 1.6 up to and including Julia 1.10. The JlrsCore package must also have been installed, if this is not the case it will automatically be added when jlrs is initialized by default. jlrs has not been tested with juliaup yet on Linux and macOS.
