PHPlot is a PHP graphics class for creating charts and plots. It works with PHP5 and the PHP GD extension to produce PNG, GIF, or JPEG images. TrueType fonts (TTF) are optional, or built-in GD fonts can be used. The available plot types include: area, bars, line/points, lines, pie, points, squared, stacked-bars, and thin bar-line. Labels, tick marks, plot legend, and X/Y axes and more are all configurable. Images can be imported as a background, multiple graphs can be drawn on one image, and images can be saved to disk or returned to a browser.

The article explains the design and the characteristics of a new open source content aggregation system. Among the features of the program, stands out a new processing engine of syndication channels, monitoring capability of information recovery in real time, the possibilities of the configuration of aggregator behavior, automatic classification of contents and new models for representation of information from relational interactive maps. On the other hand, the aggregation program, which named AXYZ, is designed to manage thousands of syndication channels of RSS format. The AEC community, as part of the Advancing Digitization of Biodiversity Collections (ADBC) program, is already tasked to develop the appropriate Web service for sharing data with the iDigBio data portal. This includes the application of Globally Unique Identifiers (GUIDs) for specimens, and mapping relevant data fields to DarwinCore. iDigBio is the aggregator for all of the ADBC Thematic Collection Network projects, including trophic level interaction data from the Tri-Tropic Interactions TCN.
