iTop stands for IT Operations Portal. It is a complete open source and web based IT service management platform including a fully customizable CMDB, a helpdesk system and a document management tool. It is ITIL compliant and easily customizable and extensible thanks to a high number of adds-on and web services to integrate with your IT. iTop also offers mass import tools to help you being even more efficient. PHPlot is a PHP graphics class for creating charts and plots. It works with PHP5 and the PHP GD extension to produce PNG, GIF, or JPEG images. TrueType fonts (TTF) are optional, or built-in GD fonts can be used. The available plot types include: area, bars, line/points, lines, pie, points, squared, stacked-bars, and thin bar-line. Labels, tick marks, plot legend, and X/Y axes and more are all configurable. Images can be imported as a background, multiple graphs can be drawn on one image, and images can be saved to disk or returned to a browser.

COV2HTML provides an easy and 'in home' web interface for biologists that allows coverage visualization of the NGS alignment needed for the analysis. It combines two essential processes: (i) MAP2COV, a tool that converts the huge NGS mapping or coverage files into light specific coverage files which contains genetic elements informations. (ii) COV2HTML, a visualization interface allowing a real-time analysis of data with selected criteria. Thus this interface offers a visualization of NGS mapping coverage data (DNA-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq and TSS) performed in different prokaryotic organisms (bacteria, viruses...) or different experimental conditions (mutant versus wild type strains or different growth states…) facilitating studies.

The article explains the design and the characteristics of a new open source content aggregation system. Among the features of the program, stands out a new processing engine of syndication channels, monitoring capability of information recovery in real time, the possibilities of the configuration of aggregator behavior, automatic classification of contents and new models for representation of information from relational interactive maps. On the other hand, the aggregation program, which named AXYZ, is designed to manage thousands of syndication channels of RSS format. Furthermore it also provides statistics that can be used to study the production of any producer subject and the impact of the information that published in other sources. The result that has been obtained in the research, allow to create modules capable of compare the relationship between different news or information from different sources, their degree of influence and their detection by the patterns.

Cap analysis of gene expression (CAGE) is a sequencing based technology to capture the 5’ ends of RNAs in a biological sample. After mapping, a CAGE peak on the genome indicates the position of an active transcriptional start site (TSS) and the number of reads correspond to its expression level. CAGE is prominently used in both the FANTOM and ENCODE project. MOIRAI is a compact yet flexible workflow system designed to carry out the main steps in data processing and analysis of CAGE data. MOIRAI has a graphical interface allowing wet-lab researchers to create, modify and run analysis workflows. Embedded within the workflows are graphical quality control indicators allowing users assess data quality and to quickly spot potential problems. MOIRAI package comes with three main workflows allowing users to map, annotate and perform an expression analysis over multiple samples.
