ParaFEM is an open source platform for parallel finite element analysis. The source code and philosophy are documented in the text book Smith, Griffiths and Margetts, "Programming the Finite Element Method", 5th Edition, Wiley, 2014. The software is written in modern Fortran and uses MPI for message passing.

Buildes is an integrated development environment that assists the user in creating building information. It reads a text (session) file from which it compiles the information. It then allows the user to browse, analyze and export the resulting building knowledge. The compilation system is written in pure Python. The building components created are rendered in PythonOCC. The GUI is written using PyQt.

The purpose of this project is to develop open source, precise, fast and easy-to-use software for radiation heat transfer analysis.

The developed graphical interface is based on the SKILL language which is a Lisp dialect used as a scripting language and PCell (Parameterized Cells) description language used in many EDA software suites by Cadence Design Systems.
