    Goofy

    Goofy

    Desktop client for Facebook Messenger

Goofy is a macOS client for Facebook Messenger. But unlike most other clients, it does not use any of Facebook's APIs, but is basically a single-site browser that injects a little CSS and JS into messenger.com to make it a little more app-like. Feel free to create issues on this repo for feature requests of any kind. However, some features may not be possible due to the way this application is working. Also, I don't want this to be a feature-bloated monster, but a slick and small app. Depending on the number of contributors and the progress of this app, I will schedule releases from time to time, which will then be distributed on goofyapp.com. To debug, there's a VSCode launch.json that can be used to debug the Electron app. To debug the Facebook JavaScript changes you'll need to use the Chrome Web Inspector.

    Plupload

    Plupload

JavaScript API for building file uploaders

At its core Plupload is visually flat and you can customize it however you like. We are using HTML5 APIs. Always. Plupload is based on multi-runtime pollyfills for XMLHttpRequest L2, File and Image APIs. So when there's no HTML5 available in the browser, we emulate it ourselves. Files not only can be picked from browse dialog, but also can be dropped directly from the desktop. In some browsers, mostly in those based on WebKit, it is possible to drag and drop whole folders. Since we emulate as much of HTML5 as possible, we are able (among other things) to provide access to raw file data, even in such environments that do not normally support it. One of the biggest benefits of this is that we can display the thumbnails instantly, right as you select the images in the dialog or drag&drop them from the desktop. We slice the files in chunks and send them out one by one. You can then safely collect them on the server and combine into original file.

    Trystero

    Trystero

Serverless WebRTC matchmaking for painless P2P

Serverless WebRTC matchmaking for painless P2P: make any site multiplayer in a few lines. Trystero manages a clandestine courier network that lets your application's users talk directly with one another, encrypted and without a server middleman. To establish a direct peer-to-peer connection with WebRTC, a signalling channel is needed to exchange peer information (SDP). Typically this involves running your own matchmaking server but Trystero abstracts this away for you and offers multiple "serverless" strategies for connecting peers (currently BitTorrent, Firebase, and IPFS).

Personal immortal robot for the The Great Web

Personal immortal robot for the Great Web. The project is currently at the concept stage. The idea of addressing things using content addresses in browser makes sense, so it is worth working further on, and the idea of using cyber instead of google right in the browser search bar is also amazing. That is why our current focus is the launch of cyber network. Once we achieve that, we can shift more focus into the development of the browser.

    tmi.js

    tmi.js

Javascript library for the Twitch Messaging Interface

Connect to and interact with Twitch chat (IRC) from Node.js or a browser. Control the delay in milliseconds between JOIN requests when using the channels array option. Minimum of 300 milliseconds. If the identity has special permission from Twitch for a higher join rate then you should implement your own calls to the client.join method. Disable receiving JOIN/PART events for other users. Good for decreasing network traffic when joining lots of channels or you don't care about this data. After a threshold per channel Twitch stops sending this data so it may not be necessary for all cases. Channels to automatically join upon connecting. The rate of joins is controlled by the options.joinInterval option. Automatically reconnect the client if it gets disconnected for any reason. Sometimes Twitch will request the client to reconnect and tmi.js will disconnect and reconnect even if this option is set to false.

    torrent-stream

    torrent-stream

The low level streaming torrent engine that peerflix uses

Torrent-stream is a core library that underpins peerflix (and similar tools), providing low-level torrent downloading and streaming capabilities in Node.js. It handles connecting to the BitTorrent swarm, negotiating peer connections, fetching torrent pieces, and exposing individual files inside a torrent as streams. This enables developers to build custom torrent-based applications — not just streaming video, but also file downloaders, partial-download managers, or peer-to-peer file distribution tools. The library supports selecting which files to download (useful in multi-file torrents), serves requested pieces on demand, and allows streaming large files without fully writing them to disk upfront — ideal for memory-efficient or on-the-fly consumption contexts. Because torrent-stream is a plain Node.js module, you can embed it in any JavaScript-based backend or tool, integrate it with HTTP servers to serve torrent content, or combine it with other processing pipelines.

    Claudia Bot Builder

    Claudia Bot Builder

Create chat bots for Facebook Messenger, Slack, Amazon Alexa, etc.

Claudia Bot Builder helps developers create and deploy chat-bots for various platforms in minutes to AWS Lambda. It simplifies the messaging workflows, automatically sets up the correct web hooks, and guides you through configuration steps, so that you can focus on important business problems and not have to worry about infrastructure code. This code is enough to operate bots for all supported platforms. Claudia Bot Builder automatically parses the incoming messages into a common format, so you can handle it easily. It also automatically packages the response into the correct message template for the requesting bot, so you do not have to worry about individual bot protocols. Claudia Bot Builder doesn't have a stand-alone http server in the background (such as Express, Hapi, etc.), instead it uses API Gateway and it's not trivial to simulate similar environment locally. Deploy it with --version test to create a separate test environment directly in AWS Lambda.

    Discord-Sandbox

    Discord-Sandbox

Alternative electron-based Discord client with custom telemetry

Are you worried Discord is watching what programs you have open or listening to your mic even while you're not pressing your push-to-talk key? Discord-Sandbox isolates the Discord client from reading background processes by running the Discord web client inside of a webview, which is finally contained inside the Electron process. While I cannot guarantee this client protects you from anything, I have tried my best to remove Discord's data collection. As detailed from Luna Mendes' discord-unofficial-docs, Discord sends telemetry data over the /api/science endpoint. This project does its best to disable this telemetry communication by running javascript code into the webview that adds a blacklist/whitelist to the default XMLHttpRequest behavior. In this way, we explicitly block all communication with the science address, while simultaneously whitelisting addresses needed for minimum Discord functionality. See the full code in mainRender.js.

    International Telephone Input

    International Telephone Input

Plugin for entering and validating international telephone numbers

A JavaScript plugin for entering and validating international telephone numbers. It adds a flag dropdown to any input, detects the user's country, displays a relevant placeholder and provides formatting/validation methods. Lots of initialization options for customization, as well as public methods for interaction. The user types their national number and the plugin gives you the full standardized international number. Navigate the country dropdown by typing a country's name, or using up/down keys. Automatically set the input placeholder to an example number for the selected country. Automatically select the user's current country using an IP lookup. Access the country data to create a separate country dropdown for an address form, and then listen for change events to keep the two dropdowns in sync. Use Twilio's API to build phone verification, SMS 2FA, appointment reminders, marketing notifications and so much more.

This project was bootstrapped with Create React App

This project was bootstrapped with Create React App. If you aren’t satisfied with the build tool and configuration choices, you can eject at any time. This command will remove the single build dependency from your project. Instead, it will copy all the configuration files and the transitive dependencies (webpack, Babel, ESLint, etc) right into your project so you have full control over them. All of the commands except eject will still work, but they will point to the copied scripts so you can tweak them. At this point you’re on your own. You don’t have to ever use eject. The curated feature set is suitable for small and middle deployments, and you shouldn’t feel obligated to use this feature. However we understand that this tool wouldn’t be useful if you couldn’t customize it when you are ready for it.
