OpenDrop
An open Apple AirDrop implementation written in Python
OpenDrop is a command-line tool that allows sharing files between devices directly over Wi-Fi. Its unique feature is that it is protocol-compatible with Apple AirDrop which allows to share files with Apple devices running iOS and macOS. Currently (and probably also for the foreseeable future), OpenDrop only supports sending to Apple devices that are discoverable by everybody as the default contacts-only mode requires Apple-signed certificates. We support contacts-only devices by using extracted AirDrop credentials (keys and certificates) from macOS via our keychain extractor. OpenDrop is experimental software and is the result of reverse engineering efforts by the Open Wireless Link project. Therefore, it does not support all features of AirDrop or might be incompatible with future AirDrop versions. OpenDrop is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc. PALMA is a simple, command-line tool to determine rhythmic leaf movement behavior from time-lapse photography pictures of Arabidopsis thaliana. PALMA consists of two components: PALMA1 extracts leaf and cotyledon tip positions from time-lapse photography studies and parses them into .csv-files which are read by PALMA2. PALMA2 performs Fast-Fourier transformation and non-linear least squares fitting to determine the periods, amplitudes and phases of rhythmic leaf movements. -

PINCIS.pl (PIcs N-/C-terminal Inferred Substrates perl script) is a small, command line tool to designate and analyze PICS (Schilling et al., Nat. Protocols, 2011) data to gain the prime and non-prime site specificity of proteases. Paperboy
a small .pdf management tool with a command-line UI
Paperboy is a tiny .pdf management utility. If you download papers and other pdf documents, you might have noticed that filenames like 1412.4880.pdf are not terribly helpful for finding anything later on. This tool helps with that. It will offer to rename and move files to a specified folder, and it even gives some filename suggestions by looking at the content and the pdf metadata. Paperboy keeps its file management dumb on purpose (no keeping files in a database or hidden library folder), so you can uninstall it at any time and your files will remain perfectly accessible. Any pointers or help with regards to generate .deb, .rpm, AUR PKGBUILD, etc is appreciated. Ideally this could be mostly automated in CI, in the end Paperboy is just a single binary with a dependency or two. How do other packages do it? If you got a good example or link, open a GitHub issue! Make sure you have poppler installed, which will provide both pdftotext and pdfinfo. -

Please refer to: https://github.com/suhrig/pingpongpro Piwi-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) are a class of small non-coding RNAs, predominantly active in the germ line. There, they limit the detrimental effect of transposons on the genome. They do so by forming a complex with Piwi proteins. The complex binds and then cleaves mRNA molecules of active transposons. The resulting mRNA fragments induce the production of more piRNAs, thus reinforcing the anti-transposon response in a feed-forward loop called the "ping-pong cycle". A key question in ping-pong cycle research is identification of piRNAs which are amplified through the cycle. PingPongPro is a command-line tool for detecting ping-pong cycle activity in piRNA-Seq data. PingPongPro was developed at the Institute of Molecular Biology gGmbH in Mainz. -

A command line tool to download Android applications directly from the Google Play Store by specifying their package name (an initial one-time configuration is required) PlaystoreDownloader is a tool for downloading Android applications directly from the Google Play Store. After an initial (one-time) configuration, applications can be downloaded by specifying their package name. There are two ways of getting a working copy of PlaystoreDownloader on your own computer: either by using Docker or by using directly the source code in a Python 3 environment. In both cases, the first thing to do is to get a local copy of this repository, so open up a terminal in the directory where you want to save the project and clone the repository. Apart from valid Google Play Store credentials, the only requirement of this project is a working Python 3 (at least 3.7) installation and pipenv (for dependency management). -

It is intended to aid in bash programming, but can be used from any command line tool or application. NOTE: This was accidentally uploaded as a beta, instead of alpha, but its status IS ALPHA. The next upload will standardize the language to the point where any scripts that work in it will work in all future versions -- however, scripts written for this version may not work in subsequent ones, the (mostly output) commands have changed: , ; . =* etc. Sorry for that, but I had to rework a bit to get more possible tokens and increase future expandability. If there's demand, I'll include a converter for old scripts, either as a filter or command-line interpreter so you'll be able to pipe through an additional step or use `convert_old_procb "MY-OLD-SCRIPT"` or something like that. -
