smartmontools contains utility programs (smartctl, smartd) to control/monitor storage systems using the Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology System (S.M.A.R.T.) built into most modern ATA and SCSI disks. It is derived from smartsuite.

DeepCluster is a classic self-supervised clustering-based representation learning algorithm that iteratively groups image features and uses the cluster assignments as pseudo-labels to train the network. In each round, features produced by the network are clustered (e.g. k-means), and the cluster IDs become supervision targets in the next epoch, encouraging the model to refine its representation to better separate semantic groups. This alternating “cluster & train” scheme helps the model gradually discover meaningful structure without labels. DeepCluster was one of the early successes in unsupervised visual feature learning, demonstrating that clustering-based reformulation can rival supervised baselines for many downstream tasks. The repository includes code for feature extraction, clustering, training loops, and evaluation benchmarks like linear probes. Because of its simplicity and modular design, DeepCluster has inspired many later methods.

EPSILON is a powerful Open Source wavelet image compressor. The project is aimed on parallel and robust image processing.

LINX is a distributed communication protocol stack for transparent inter node and interprocess communication for a heterogeneous mix of systems. For latest versions, see https://linux.enea.com/linx/. This project is no longer active and there are thus no further releases planned. As an alternative, a completely user space implementation of the LINX protocol on Linux (User-Mode LINX for Linux) has been developed. m23 is a free software distribution system (license: GPL), that installs (via network, starting with partitioning and formatting) and administrates (updates, adds / removes software, adds / removes scripts) clients with Debian, (X/K)Ubuntu and LinuxMint. It is used for deployment of Linux clients in schools, institutions and enterprises. The m23 server is controlled via a web interface. A new m23 client can be installed easily in only three steps. Group functions and mass installation tools make managing a vast number of clients comfortable. The integration of existing clients (with .deb-based distributions) into the system is possible, too. Client backup and server backup are included to avoid data loss. With the integrated virtualisation software, m23 can create and manage virtual m23 clients, that run on real m23 clients or the m23 server. Scripts and software packages (for installation on clients) can be created directly from the m23 web interface.

MooseFS (MFS) is a fault tolerant, highly performing, scaling-out, network distributed file system. It spreads data over several physical servers which are visible to the user as one resource.
