TheSSS (The Smallest Server Suite) is a lightweight server suite distributed as a live CD. It is designed for system administrators who need an extremely tiny and fast set of server software. The supported servers are: FSP, FTP/SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, NBD, NFS, NTP, rlogin, SSH, Telnet, and TFTP. A proxy server (Polipo) with Tor anonymizer is also included. The main security components are 4MLinux Firewall (based on iptables) and Clam AntiVirus. TheSSS iso images are fully compatible with UNetbootin, which can be used to create an easy-to-use TheSSS Live USB. -

OpenSANd is a server system that allows access to disk storage over the NBD protocol. It is designed to work particularly well with VirtualControl and thus allow KVM machines to use disk partitions over Ethernet, similar to expensive, commercial SAN systems using FibreChannel or iSCSI.

virtualcontrol is a configuration and monitoring tool for QEMU/KVM instances on a linux box. virtualcontrol primarily uses the KVM command line tools to do its job. Apart from trivial functions like starting and stopping virtual machines, virtualcontrol also allows freezing/thawing virtual machines (snapshot including memory dump), KVM machine migration and advanced storage functions like HA and dedicated storage solutions (OpenSANd).
