MaxFem is an open software package for electromagnetic simulation by using finiteelement methods. The package can solve problems in electrostatics, direct current, magnetostatics and eddy-currents.
Since version 0.4.0, MaxFEM requires Python 3.
We have moved the installers to the MaxFEM website (see below). In order to improve MaxFEM, we will require you to fill out a simple form before downloading them.
OpenNum lets you distribute solvers with a nice graphical interface
...It also has other useful utilities specifically designed for numerical simulation packages:
· it allows managing a centralized materials dataset;
· it can read several finiteelement mesh formats and several field formats.
This application is intended to be a tool for easy, almost automatic, creation and calculation of gear transmission finiteelement models. It consists of a geometry and mesh generator based on GMSH and a finiteelement model based on GETFEM++.
ParaFEM is an open source platform for parallel finiteelement analysis. The source code and philosophy are documented in the text book Smith, Griffiths and Margetts, "Programming the FiniteElement Method", 5th Edition, Wiley, 2014. The software is written in modern Fortran and uses MPI for message passing.
Deploy in 115+ regions with the modern database for every enterprise.
MongoDB Atlas gives you the freedom to build and run modern applications anywhere—across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. With global availability in over 115 regions, Atlas lets you deploy close to your users, meet compliance needs, and scale with confidence across any geography.
Explicit/Impicit FiniteElement Program with linear/nonlinear, elastic/hyperelastic/hypoelastic/plastic/visco, contact,thermal,
fluid capabilities. h/p refinements. Parallel/Distributed solvers available.
No shell elements but has 2D beams, trusses.
NURBS-based elastic and limit analysis of masonry arches in MATLAB
...As in CAD softwares, the geometry of the model is defined by a NURBS representation of the structure. Indeed, the user can upload geometries imported from a CAD environment. Based on such a representation, ArchNURBS performs the elastic isogeometric finiteelement analysis and the collapse limit analysis of the structure. It is possible to include in the analysis the presence of Fiber-Reinforced Polymers (FRP) extrados and intrados strips.
A comprehensive descritpion of ArchNURBS is given in "ArchNURBS: NURBS-Based Tool for the Structural Safety Assessment of Masonry Arches in MATLAB", A. ...
Impact is an explicit FiniteElement Program Suite which simulates dynamic impact events. It has a range of elements, contact handling and different material laws. Models can be created, solved and analyzed with the included pre- and postprocessor. Impact is based on an Explicit Time stepping algorithm. These kind of codes are used to simulate dynamic phenomena such as car crashes and similar, usually involving large deformations.
FEDES is a FiniteElement Data Exchange System for mapping finiteelement analysis data between different FE solvers and meshes with different element types and densities. Six commercial FE solvers are supported (ABAQUS, ANSYS, DEFORM, MARC, MORFEO, VULCAN). The FEA data outputted can be visualized with the open source program ParaView.
