    UniSIMD-assembler

SIMD macro assembler unified for ARM, MIPS, PPC and x86

UniSIMD assembler is a high-level C/C++ macro assembler framework unified across ARM, MIPS, POWER and x86 architectures. It establishes a subset of both BASE and SIMD instruction sets with clearly defined common API, so that application logic can be written and maintained in one place without code replication. The assembler itself isn't a separate tool, but rather a collection of C/C++ header files, which applications need to include directly in order to use. ...

    Snappy

    Snappy

    A fast compressor/decompressor

Snappy is a compression/decompression library. It does not aim for maximum compression, or compatibility with any other compression library; instead, it aims for very high speeds and reasonable compression. For instance, compared to the fastest mode of zlib, Snappy is an order of magnitude faster for most inputs, but the resulting compressed files are anywhere from 20% to 100% bigger. Snappy is intended to be fast. On a single core of a Core i7 processor in 64-bit mode, it compresses at...

    Memory Layout Specification Tool

A tool for generating memory maps for low-level and embedded systems.

The Memory Layout Specification Tool (MLST) is a file specification and a collection of tools for conveying the contents of a memory map. MLST can take an appropriately formatted specification and create both a representation of the memory map for a assembler and documentation from the input file.

    XièXiè Compiler

    XièXiè Compiler

    High-level, meta-language, trans-compiler with virutal machine

XièXiè is a language with a trans-compiler (or rather source-to-source compiler) which compiles to mainly C++ (C++98 and C++11). It also comes with an own assembler compiler for ARM, IA-32/ x86 and its own byte-code XBC (XièXiè-Byte-Code) including a virtual-machine. XièXiè can be seen as a "Meta Language". --- THIS PROJECT IS IN IT'S FIRST STEPS ---

    PASHA: Parallelized Short Read Assembly

One of the fastest parallel short read assemblers for large genomes.

PASHA is a parallel short read assembler for large genomes using de Bruijn graphs. Taking advantage of both shared-memory multi-core CPUs and distributed-memory compute clusters, PASHA has demonstrated its potential to perform high-quality de-novo assembly of large genomes in reasonable time with modest computing resources. Our evaluation using three small real paired-end datasets shows that PASHA is able to produce better assemblies with comparable genome coverage and mis-assembly rates compared to three leading assemblers: Velvet, ABySS and SOAPdenovo. ...

    FPGAsm

    FPGAsm

Create fast bare-metal FPGA designs without Verilog or VHDL

FPGAsm is a low-level alternative to verilog and VHDL. A near-instant 'assembler for FPGAs', this simple yet powerful language facilitates bottom-up design, layout and wiring of modules, and generation of .xdl output. With about 10 keywords to learn, you can start making circuits in minutes. Now you can focus on learning the ins and outs of the FPGA instead of complex tools and languages.
