    Modin

    Modin

Scale your Pandas workflows by changing a single line of code

...Modin acts as a drop-in replacement for pandas, which means that you can continue using your previous pandas notebooks, unchanged, while experiencing a considerable speedup thanks to Modin, even on a single machine. Once you’ve changed your import statement, you’re ready to use Modin just like you would pandas.

    Apache OpenOffice

    Apache OpenOffice

The free and Open Source productivity suite

Free alternative for Office productivity tools: Apache OpenOffice - formerly known as OpenOffice.org - is an open-source office productivity software suite containing word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, graphics, formula editor, and database management applications. OpenOffice is available in many languages, works on all common computers, stores data in ODF - the international open standard format - and is able to read and write files in other formats, included the format used by the...

    ThreadsX.jl

    ThreadsX.jl

    Parallelized Base functions

Add prefix ThreadsX. to functions from Base to get some speedup, if supported. The reduce-based functions support any collections that implement SplittablesBase.jl interface including arrays, Dict, Set, and iterator transformations. In particular, these functions support iterator comprehension. ThreadsX.jl is aiming at providing API compatible with Base functions to easily parallelize Julia programs.

    fastPTOptimizer

a fork of the Panorama Tools / libpano13 with a fast PTOptimizer

...However if you have a large number of images (several hundrets or more than thousand) and control points, PTOptimizer typically needs much time (up to several days) for the optimization of the parameters. fastPTOptimizer decreases the processing time for large panoramas (a speedup factor of 100 or more can be achieved). This is possible by exploiting the sparseness of the mathematical optimization problem. The original PTOptimizer uses the well proven Levenberg Marquardt optimizer lmdif from the minpack software. fastPTOptimizer uses a "sparse" optimizer lmdif_sparse that uses the SuiteSparse library.

    Bat2015

    Bat2015

    Bachelor of Science (Informatik)

...Now, it is possible to use as many cores in a network as you want. With a focus on the MILP methods we implement a load balancing and speed up the solving process in a multiplicative way. Sometimes we have super-linear speedup with a small set of hardware. With a splitting of problems, parallel computing and distributing the actual best solution to all running processes we solve CBP much faster than a sequential processing can do.

    MICA-aligner

    MICA-aligner

Next-generation sequencing short reads aligner based on Intel® MIC

...Experiments on aligning 150bp paired-end reads show that MICA using one MIC board is ~4.85 times faster than the CPU-(multi-core)-based BWA-MEM and about the same speed as the GPU-based SOAP3-dp. Furthermore, MICA’s simplicity allows very efficient scale-up when multiple MIC boards are used in a node (3 cards gives a 14-fold speedup over 6-core BWA-MEM).
