    windows-bootable-usb-creator for Linux

Script to create bootable Windows Setup USB drives

Command-line script to create bootable Windows Setup USB drives with, to install Windows. You'll need a Windows ISO and a USB drive. See the README for more information. Similar to Rufus. Technically, the script works the same as Rufus (a tool for Windows). We even use the official UEFI NTFS driver developed by Pete Batard, the Rufus developer. This script allows you to create a bootable Windows Setup USB drive based on a Windows installation ISO, even if the ISO contains an "install.wim" file larger than 4 GB (something which is not possible on FAT32). This is a POSIX-compatible Unix shell script and is intended to be used on a Linux system.

Set up an x86_64 linux cross-build from a generic 4.2 kconfig; use a bash shell program to produce linux-headers, uClibc, gcc and a complete GNU os. The tool is simple to customize and has only a few configuration variables. There is one executable program and six proglets, 100 common GNU source tarballs required. The Linux 4.2 kernel has a System.map with 22000 entries, in contrast to the slackware15 map having 155000 entries. The uClibc works superbly with g++. I used bash 4.2 along with "the tool" to build the system. ...

    MicroFormat

    MicroFormat

A Windows Format Tool for USB and Physical volumes

A simple Windows tool that can format USB or physical volumes to either NTFS or FAT32. It supports custom Volume names and quick formatting. Done out of boredom and curiosity for practicing purposes. The program will refuse to format the Windows partition. Because the Windows partition is not always C, the check is not hard-coded. Rather, I perform a comparison between the currently selected volume to format and the known System volume.
