Aciqra is a virtual planetarium and sky mapping program which tracks celestial bodies including planets, deep sky objects and stars to an accuracy of a fraction of a degree for thousands of years into both the future and the past. It includes the 2.5 million stars of the Tycho-2 catalog supplemented by data of 120,000 stars from the Hipparcos catalog, 13,000 deep space objects from the NGC and IC catalogs and a large number of asteroids and comets from the Minor Planet Center. The program is platform-independent and can be made to work on most modern computers that support OpenGL. -

It provides an USB connection for the communication with the PC, it uses a stepper motor that provides higher precision, you can set the motor in full step or in microstepp mode (1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8). The focuser include a temperature sensor. This driver has a ToolBox with which you can control manually the focuser (for example you can set the limits). -

This module implements the serial commands supported by the Celestron NexStar hand control (HC) and SkyWatcher/Orion SynScan HC. This applies to the Celestron: NexStar GPS, NexStar GPS-SA, NexStar iSeries, NexStar SE Series, NexStar GT, CPC, SLT, Advanced-VX, Advanced-GT, CGE, CGEM etc. SkyWatcher: EQ5, HEQ5, EQ6 (Pro), AZ-EQ5 GT, AZ-EQ6 GT, EQ8 etc. and the corresponding Orion mounts. Communication to the hand control is 9600 bits/sec, no parity and one stop bit via the RS-232 port on the base of the hand control. For extended example how to use this perl module look in to the distribution folder for nexstarctl.pl. This program is a complete console tool to control NexStar telesctopes based on NexStarCtl module.
