ethflop is a DOS TSR that emulates a floppy disk drive. Such virtual floppy disk is, in fact, stored on a Linux server as a classic floppy image. All the communication between ethflop (the TSR) and ethflopd (the Linux daemon) is based on raw Ethernet. No need for any network configuration - the DOS PC only needs to have some kind of Ethernet adapter (physical or emulated, for example through PLIP) and a suitable packet driver. -

A multi-threaded-style OS for the Spectrum +3. Based on a kernel/userland model, it decouples the kernel implementation from the run-time system call mechanism, and provides for some POSIX-style functions. A file descriptors layer provides abstraction for easy file redirection. Userland processes are relocatable, and have no knowledge of the kernel or memory layout, leaving the flexibility to change the memory paging model without requiring a recompile of all userland programs. -

Of course, the floppies came with some stickers to write down the content of the disk but I wanted to use my shiny new 24-pin printer so I wrote this little utility. The program lets you draw lines and scattered dots on the screen with the Mouse. When you press the Space-bar it scans the screen and converts the drawing into sounds. Each pixel on the screen is converted into a sound, and there is an unfinished idea it can form harmonics. It can make several sound effects, and it's even possible that it can be used to create some music. Its complete source code is there as a single ASM file which can be assembled instantly with the free FASMW compiler. -

One of the most important devices for any disk operating system is the mass storage drive. Although ZXMMC device is available on the market for years and it works well with +3e firmware, partitions created on MMC cards could not be accessed from CP/M world. Lissajous figures
It animates some Lissajous figures. It is Boot-able.
This is a short simple boot-able program that animates some Lissajous figures. It can only run when the computer contains Bios, and when the computer is booted. The complete source code is here as an .asm file which can be compiled instantly with the Fasmw compiler. It has an interesting way of switching the computer into 64 bit Long mode. It actually switches the computer back and forth between 16 bit and 64 bit mode, easily, with an interesting technique. -
