Image processing algorithms in pure Go

A collection of parallel image processing algorithms in pure Go. The aim of this project is simplicity in use and development over absolute high performance, but most algorithms are designed to be efficient and make use of parallelism when available. It uses packages from the standard library whenever possible to reduce dependency use and development abstractions. All operations return image types from the standard library. Package convolution provides the functionality to create and apply a...

    Gait Tracking With x-IMU

    Gait Tracking With x-IMU

Foot tracking algorithm demonstrated in Seb Madgwick's 3D Tracking

This repository provides the source code for a foot-tracking algorithm using an inertial measurement unit (IMU) attached to the foot, as demonstrated in Seb Madgwick’s “3D Tracking with IMU” video (March 2011). The method performs dead reckoning to integrate foot motion and corrects for drift at each foot strike (when the foot touches the ground) to reset error accumulation. The algorithm was part of gait analysis research, estimating foot trajectories in 3D over time. The repo is marked “no longer maintained,” and has been superseded by newer versions of Gait-Tracking. ...

    java-string-similarity

    java-string-similarity

Implementation of various string similarity and distance algorithms

...The "cost" column gives an estimation of the computational cost to compute the similarity between two strings of length m and n respectively. If the alphabet is finite, it is possible to use the method of four russians (Arlazarov et al. "On economic construction of the transitive closure of a directed graph", 1970) to speedup computation. This was published by Masek in 1980 ("A Faster Algorithm Computing String Edit Distances").

    FuzzyWuzzy

    FuzzyWuzzy

    Fuzzy string matching in Python

We’ve made it our mission to pull in event tickets from every corner of the internet, showing you them all on the same screen so you can compare them and get to your game/concert/show as quickly as possible. Of course, a big problem with most corners of the internet is labeling. One of our most consistently frustrating issues is trying to figure out whether two ticket listings are for the same real-life event (that is, without enlisting the help of our army of interns). To pick an example...

owl reasoning over big biomedical data

A OWL reasoning framework for the analysis of big biomedical data

A general OWL reasoning framework for the analysis of big biomedical data and implement a MapReduce-based property chain reasoning prototype system. OWL reasoning method is ideally suitable for problems involved complex semantic associations because it is able to infer logical consequences based on a set of asserted rules or axioms. MapReduce framework isused to solve the problem of scalability. In our experiment, we focus on the discovery of associations between Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medicine (WM).

    MDA

    Molecular Dynamics Analyzer (MDA)

...It is capable of minimizing the systematic error that occurs with astigmatism-based 3D techniques owing to the aberrations induced by the refractive index mismatch. In contrast to existing techniques, the method determines the aberration directly from the acquired 2D image stream by exploiting the inherent particle movement and the redundancy introduced by the astigmatism. It does not require additional experimental effort for the user and imaging can directly be started once interesting regions in the sample have been identified. MDA is written in MATLAB and comes with a graphical user interface. ...

    Javascript-Voronoi

    Javascript-Voronoi

JS implementation of Fortune's algorithm to compute Voronoi cells

This repository implements Steven Fortune’s algorithm (sweep-line method) for generating Voronoi diagrams in JavaScript, providing a performant browser-side solution for computational geometry of planar point sets. With this library you can feed a set of sites (points) and compute their Voronoi cells – the partition of the plane into regions closest to each site – in O(n log n) time. It’s especially useful in web UIs, visualizations, interactive maps, and generative-art contexts where you need dynamic tessellations or diagrammatic layouts. ...

    drvq

    dimensionality-recursive vector quantization

drvq is a C++ library implementation of dimensionality-recursive vector quantization, a fast vector quantization method in high-dimensional Euclidean spaces under arbitrary data distributions. It is an approximation of k-means that is practically constant in data size and applies to arbitrarily high dimensions but can only scale to a few thousands of centroids. As a by-product of training, a tree structure performs either exact or approximate quantization on trained centroids, the latter being not very precise but extremely fast. ...
