Sinalgo is a simulation framework for testing and validating network algorithms. It allows for quick prototyping and verification in freely customizable network settings. It is mainly suited for packet-oriented wireless networks.

TER implements the CCSDS Recommendation for Image Data Compression (CCSDS 122.0-B-1). TER also adds new features to the Recommendation. TER is designed and programmed with the aim to provide a good basis to test and develop the CCSDS Recommendation.

This is a tool that uses a combination between a brute force and dictionary attack on a Vigenere cipher. At present, keys are generated using brute force (will soon try passwords generated from a dictionary first). Each key is then used to decode the encoded message input. The output is analysed and then put into a ranking table. Outputs will be ranked on a variety of factors (at present, only number of dictionary words in output are counted). For the future: Better key generation, trying combinations of dictionary words with numbers. If that fails, brute force will be used. For all attempts of the dictionary attack, only keys within the known key length range will be generated. Better ranking system and analysis of possible decoded messages. Note: The version currently released, I made in an evening! It is nowhere near ready for release but is a fun project to think about and I need more ideas for improvements mentioned above. Discuss possible solutions and ideas!

Membrane Computing is a new research area (within Natural Computing) that aims to provide computing devices abstracted from the functioning and structure of living cells. These devices are called P systems. The objective of this project (PMCGPU) is to bring together all the researchers working on the development of parallel simulators for P systems, specially those using the GPU (e.g. CUDA, OpenCL, etc). Other parallel platforms are also welcome (multicore and manycore, FPGAs, etc). This project has been initiated by the Research Group on Natural Computing (Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, University of Seville). PMCGPU was born inside the P-Lingua project, of the same research group. PMCGPU is a GNU project, so all the applications developed within it are released under the GPLv3 license. Palex is a two-stage biological sequence searching system. Library will contain functions for searching patterns, palindromes and structures in DNA sequence.

While an application is running, users can move, resize, and tune all the screen objects through which the communication with an application is going. Set of files includes the book (both in DOC and PDF formats), a big demonstration project with all its files available (all the source files are in C#), and an additional description of many used classes. Book uses the examples from the demo project to explain everything in details. The examples are from many different areas. Examples from the first part of the book are aimed at the details of algorithm and its use with different objects; examples from the second part are mostly the real and very useful applications.
