    In intensive care units (ICU) patients vital signs are monitored. This is an attempt to build an interface which can show external and simulated medical data, to mimic these patient monitors. The motivation for this project are my experiments with building medical devices.

    The EYESENS project comprises the design and development of application specific integrated circuits (telemetry and sensor readout electronics) and MEMS pressure sensor for an implantable medical device which precisely, directly and continuously monitor the patient’ s intraocular pressure (IOP). After a first proof of concept using off-the-shelf components, we verified and positively confirmed the feasibility of the project.
