Random access (RA) procedure in LTE-A is known to suffer from congestion in presence og high number of devices. In the context of smart cities, thousands of sensors will generate M2M traffic periodically triggering the RA procedure for resource request. This simulator defines the supported capacity limits of LTE-A RA procedure. -

This is a LTE System simulator that is being completely written from scratch. This will be open source as well as provide a basis for creating extensions for LTE platforms. This will simulate both roaming and home scenarios at both EPC and EUTRAN.
