    MS-Helios

MS-Helios: A Circos wrapper to visualize multi-omic datasets

...To provide a more holistic view, we recently introduced circular proteome maps (CPMs). However, the CPM construction requires prior data transformation and extensive knowledge of the Perl-based tool, Circos. We present MS-Helios, an easy to use command line tool with multiple built-in data processing functions, allowing non-expert users to construct CPMs or in general terms circular plots with a non-genomic basis. MS-Helios automatically generates data and configuration files to create high quality and publishable circular plots with Circos.

    Evol2Circos

    Evol2Circos

Tool for Synteny Analysis using MCScanx and Visualization using Circos

Evol2Circos provide a tool based user-friendly platform to analyse user specific data for synteny construction and visualization, and a web based platform to facilitate the browsing of the syntenic information of different fish species using Circos plot, bar, dual and dot plot. The information generated from Evol2Circos can also be used for further downstream analysis.

    Bayesian Estimated Core Genome

A pipeline for estimating the core genome of a set of genome sequences

...As well as calculating the estimated core genome, tools are also provided for the calculation of median pairwise distances for alignments generated by Genome Comparator for each gene based on the reference genome. Finally, there is a tool for generating the necessary files to create the genome diagrams seen in van Tonder et al. [2] using Circos [3]. 1. Jolley KA, Maiden MC. BIGSdb: Scalable analysis of bacterial genome variation at the population level. BMC Bioinformatics 2010, 11:595. 2. van Tonder AJ, Mistry S, et al.Defining the estimated core genome of bacterial populations using a Bayesian decision model. (under review) 3. PIVOT

    PIVOT

PIVOT is a simple yet flexible visualization data tool

PIVOT is a simple yet flexible visualization tool based on Circos (Krzywinski et al., 2009), which offers a fast and aesthetical visualization of data and information. The Protein Interaction Visualization and Observation Tool (PIVOT) was developed specifically for the visualization of protein interaction. It is difficult to spot the proteins that have an interaction when given a large list of proteins but with PIVOT, it is easy to identify the them at a glance.
