    Virtualdub filter blenderM

Mixes current masked Virtualdub frame with a previous frame

This version of Filter Blender has the capability of mixing modifications with a previous video frame. The original version by Steven Don could only use one mask or one set of percentage mixes. This version supports multiple masks and mixes. You can apply other filters to one area using a mask, then apply other mods to a different area using another mask, and so on. The original had, in my opinion, confusing options which mixed the current frame with saved frame B and applied the mask...

    Magneto

Magneto is a wxWidgets based viewer for NMR spectra.

Magneto is a viewer for NMR spectra which is intended to be convenient for applied NMR users such as organic chemists. All free software for viewing NMR spectra I found on the internet did not satisfy, therefore I decided to spend some time writing an open source viewer. The program is based on wxWidgets, an excellent open source framework which allows to design truly cross platform applications. The program is supposed to be portable to different OS, especially Linux and Windows.

    Simbuca
SIMBUCA (before called Simonion) is a simulation package that simulates the motion of charged particles under the influence of Electric and/or Magnetic fields. What makes Simbuca unique is that you can choose to calculate the Coulomb interaction between ions on a Graphics cards which is much faster than calculating this on the conventional CPU (reducing the simulation time from years to days). Therefore Simbuca has been applied in various projects which required to understand the behaviour...

    MRA

    MRA

A general recommender system with basic models and MRA

Multi-categorization Recommendation Adjusting (MRA) is to optimize the results of recommendation based on traditional(basic) recommendation models, through introducing objective category information and taking use of the feature that users always get the habits of preferring certain categories. Besides this, there are two advantages of this improved model: 1) it can be easily applied to any kind of existing recommendation models. And 2) a controller is set in this improved model to provide...

    Hrothgar Parallel LM/MCMC Minimizer

A versatile MCMC and downhill optimization engine

Hrothgar is a parallel minimizer and Markov Chain Monte Carlo generator by Andisheh Mahdavi of San Francisco State University. It has been used to solve optimization problems in astrophysics (galaxy cluster mass profiles) as well as in experimental particle physics (hadronic tau decays). It is probably adaptable enough to be applied to your merit function if you can write it in C.

    pSVA

    permuted SVA

pSVA ==== permuted SVA is an algorithm that uses a new statistical model that is blind to biological covariates to correct for technical artifacts while retaining biological heterogeneity in genomic data. This algorithm facilitated accurate subtype identification in head and neck cancer from gene expression data in both formalin fixed and frozen samples. When applied to predict HPV status, pSVA improved cross-study validation even if the sample batches were highly confounded with HPV status...

    Graphical Grammar Studio

    Graphical Grammar Studio

An user friendly grammar tool for natural language processing tasks

... and applied. A grammar is organized in graphs of nodes. Nodes are used for consuming words from the input, for executing jumps to other graphs in the grammar or for creating annotations etc. GGS has a unique feature: It allows the user to write JavaScript code to be executed for nodes of the grammar. This is useful for checking grammatical agreements but not only. The user can: declare variables (including complex js structures), check for boolean conditions, use variables in annotations etc.

    SeqSelector

    SeqSelector

Tools to select sequences for capture enrichment of next-gen libraries

The SeqSelector toolset is a suite of user-friendly, platform independent python scripts to facilitate selection of sequences for targeted enrichment of next-generation libraries through hybridization-based sequence capture. The scripts require no knowledge of programming, and can be applied to genome sequences of model or non-model species. We suggest a workflow in which genes of interest are first identified from previous studies and publicly available datasets of functional gene annotation...

Planar Roof Top Detection in LiDAR

This tool detects and classifies roof tops from raw spatial LiDAR

A new algorithm for extracting roof tops was developed. Using the assumption that roof tops are planar in construction, a new approach was developed using volume of point clouds to determine whether a cluster contains planar points. This approach yields very promising results and with attention applied to its weaknesses, should provide another algorithm which can rival currently available roof top detection methods.

    Saferwater

Helping to improve drinking water safety where there isn't much.

This program helps the user risk assess the raw water quality, aids in determining optimum clarification and filtration, aids in developing an understanding of the disinfection process, and puts it together in an easy to follow HACCP plan, which identifies the critical barriers, monitoring and limits that should be applied to ensure a reduction in the raw water risk profile. The mitigated or residual risk profile is also given (i.e. assuming HACCP plan implementation)
