On this day in 1990 Microsoft becomes the first software company to exceed $1 billion in revenue for its fiscal year. Their fiscal year-end sales total was $1,183,446,000, but this would only be the beginning. Today, Microsoft’s sales (as of 2017) are over $89 billion!
