On this day in 1976, one of the world’s largest tech companies, Apple Inc. was founded. The Apple Computer Company as it was first known, was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne in Jobs’ home in Los Altos, California. The business partnership was built primarily to develop and sell their first product: the Apple I, a computer designed and built entirely by Wozniak. Twelve days after the founding of the company however, Wayne sold his share back, but Jobs and Wozniak went on to make history with their company.
