Introducing SlashDataCenter

By Community Team

SourceForge and our sister site, Slashdot, act as go-to hubs for developers and other IT pros who want to learn a little more about what’s going on in tech. In that spirit, we began offering a series of sites aimed at specific types of technology. First came SlashBI, which provided news and expert commentary on the business-intelligence segment. Then came SlashCloud, devoted to the latest information about cloud computing.

Now we’re introducing SlashDataCenter, which focuses on data centers and IT infrastructure—both on-premises and in the cloud. We’re kicking off with stories that explore the ways Hewlett-Packard, Apple, and other companies are working to create energy efficient data centers; how last year’s flooding in Thailand still affects the storage industry; whether the cloud can truly “rightsize” the data center; and many more.

Please take a look, and let us know what you think. You can also visit the SlashDataCenter Facebook and Google+ pages, follow the site on Twitter, and sign up for the weekly newsletter.
