Our sister site, freshmeat.net, is “the Web’s largest index of Unix and cross-platform software, themes and related ‘eye-candy,’ and Palm OS software.” Lately we’ve done a couple of exciting things to integrate freshmeat and SourceForge.net projects.
Earlier this month we made all freshmeat projects available on SourceForge.net. A wider selection of available applications should make SourceForge.net an even more popular destination for downloaders.
Today’s news, however, might be of more interest to SF.net developers. In the upcoming freshmeat3, now in beta (sign up here), we’ve simplified the process of submitting projects. Read about the details on freshmeat.net and see screenshots of the new design.
Of course, if you already use ReleaseForge, you already have integrated freshmeat project announcements. If you haven’t yet tried ReleaseForge, check it out – it’s pretty spiffy!
