UCF Here — mobile attendance for UCF students
UCF Here is a smartphone attendance tool created by the University of Central Florida for use by UCF students. It replaces manual sign-in methods with a camera-based check-in system so students can mark attendance quickly from their phones.
How students check in
- Open the UCF Here app on your iPhone and authenticate.
- Use the device camera to scan a QR code or barcode displayed by the instructor.
- Confirm the check-in if prompted to complete the process.
Sign-in and account linking
Students sign into the app with their existing Webcourses@UCF credentials, so there’s no separate account registration required. This single-sign-on approach keeps the process simple and ties attendance records to students’ UCF accounts.
Benefits compared with traditional methods
- Eliminates the need for paper sign-in sheets and physical clickers.
- Saves class time and reduces administrative overhead.
- Removes the requirement for extra hardware since the smartphone camera handles scans.
Availability and cost
UCF Here is available at no charge on iPhone and is listed in the Education & Reference category of the App Store.
