Remove programs completely — no leftover files
Few things are more frustrating than applications that won’t fully uninstall. Some developers design software to be difficult to remove, and malware can embed itself deeply in Windows where the built-in uninstaller is ineffective. If you want confidence that a program will be removed without remnants, a dedicated uninstallation utility can help.
How the snapshot method works
Total Uninstall helps avoid leftover files and registry entries by taking a system snapshot before you install an application and another snapshot after installation finishes. It compares the two states and lists every file, folder and registry value that was added, modified or deleted. Changes are presented in a hierarchical view so you can inspect exactly what the installer did.
When you later decide to remove the application, Total Uninstall can reverse the recorded changes to restore the system to its prior state. This is similar in purpose to Windows’ system rollback feature, but instead of creating periodic restore points that consume a lot of disk space, Total Uninstall creates a targeted snapshot at the time you install each program. Note: the scanning and comparison steps can be time-consuming, since the tool analyzes the entire system state.
Recommended replacement option
If you prefer an alternative tool, consider trying Full Uninstall — a trial version is available for evaluation. It offers similar functionality for monitoring installations and performing complete removals.
