Tesla provides a complimentary lifestyle app for owners that puts many vehicle and energy functions in the palm of your hand. From a smartphone you can monitor status and send commands to your car and compatible Powerwall hardware no matter where you are.

Vehicle management tools

• Adjust interior temperature before you get in (heat or cool the cabin remotely).
• Send a navigation destination straight to the vehicle’s nav system.
• Locate the car and trigger lights or horn to help you find it.
• Begin or halt charging sessions on demand.
• See current charging progress and estimated charge level at a glance.
• Lock or unlock the doors remotely.
• Use remote summon on supported vehicle models to move the car short distances automatically.

Powerwall and home energy overview

• View how much electricity you are exporting back to the grid.
• Check the battery’s current stored energy and state of charge.
• Monitor solar generation and how much locally produced energy is available.

Important notes and limitations

• Some Powerwall features require Powerwall 2 hardware to be available.
• The app can increase your phone’s battery usage, particularly when left running in the background or when using the phone-as-key functionality.
• Not every vehicle supports every remote capability (for example, summon is limited to eligible models).
