Overview

PhotoStickies lets you place live webcams and personal pictures directly on your desktop so you can keep an eye on busy city squares and other locations without opening a browser. It’s mainly geared toward casually watching live feeds and letting users arrange images where they like on the screen.

Live views and images

• Live webcam streams of famous spots, such as Times Square or the Eiffel Tower, can be displayed on your desktop.
• You may also show your own photos alongside those webcams, positioning them wherever you prefer.

Customization options

• Basic image adjustments are available, including contrast tweaks and fade effects.
• You can resize and move the images/webcams to create a custom desktop layout.

Known limitations

• The favorites feature is unreliable; it’s often unclear which feed or image you’ve marked.
• Browsing through available cameras and images isn’t smooth, making selection cumbersome.
• While PhotoStickies is amusing for continuously watching webcams, there are more capable image viewers for macOS if you need advanced browsing and management.
