World and Premise
Outliver: Tribulation transports players into a supernatural plane drawn from African myth. You play as Bolanle Gboyega, a soldier who inexplicably wakes in the Realm of Tribulations. To find her way home she must take part in an ancient rite while navigating a hostile, otherworldly landscape filled with secrets and dangers.
Narrative Snapshot
Bolanle’s journey is driven by a dark mystery: why she was pulled into this realm and what the ritual requires of her. As the story unfolds, players encounter fragments of lore and encounter inhabitants of the realm whose motives are not always clear. The plot leans on atmosphere and discovery as much as on direct exposition.
Core Systems and Player Progression
- Invest in and enhance Bolanle’s skills and equipment to survive longer and tackle tougher foes.
- Collect and employ spiritual talismans and charms that change how you fight or traverse the environment.

- Face intense, souls-like combat encounters that demand timing, positioning, and resource management.
Tone, Style, and Difficulty
Outliver: Tribulation blends survival-horror tension with the deliberate challenge of souls-like action and third-person shooting mechanics. That mix creates a tense, immersive experience but can also produce a steeper learning curve for players unfamiliar with any one of those genres. Patience, experimentation, and thoughtful upgrades are rewarded as you adapt to the game’s systems.
